It's soup season, post sooops. For me, it's butternut squash
>>
>>21778492
WTF is soup season?
>>
>>21778493
normies distinguish fall/winter as "soup" season, because the idea of having soup outside that breaks their small smooth brains
>>
>>21778502
oh. ok carry on with your weird concepts then.

>It's cold outside and I've been cold all day. I'm going to enjoy a nice hot bowl of soup which will give me warmth.
What exactly is confusing about this?

Potato soup
Prevented it from becomibg mashed potatoes by baking the potato cubes to give them a crunchy outside before plopping them in the soup. Packed away for lunches this week. Had one bowl aready and it was pretty good, added a little sriracha and green onions for color because I'm a pretentious faggot.

Damn looks tasty anon. Color is important, if I had scallions I would have thrown them on
>>21778688
Good lookin chili slop cowboy. Huge pot, will you be able to get through it all?
>>
>>21778738
Also, I added bacon and cheddar cheese to it.
>cooked the bacon in little bits till crispy
>added flour to bacon fat and bacon
>added milk
>slowly added cheese till it was all melted into it
>then dumped in the roasted potato cubes

That's basically it, for seasonings I just used the onion whites and some garlic powder, and a dab of chicken boulion.
>>
>>21778738
Half of the chili will be eaten over the next 3 days and the other half will be frozen for later. Roughly 10lbs overall, between meat and other ingredients.

Today I made some shit-in-my-fridge-that-was-about-to-go-bad soup.
I used:
1 pound of dry pinto beans, after soaking them for 20 hours because I forgot I was soaking them.
8 small breakfast sausages cut up
1 large eggplant that I only bought because it was on sale and I don't know how to cook eggplant (I bought 2 and ruined the other one last week)
1.5 red bell peppers (I ate half of one when I was drunk a week ago)
2 green bell peppers
1 small yellow onion
1 apple
a little sriracha, because the bottle was almost empty and I had to put water in it and shake it up to get it out.
some chili oil because I bought the cheap storebrand and I wanted to get rid of it somehow cause it's not very good.
half a can of tomatoes
salt
msg
paprika
cayenne pepper and black pepper

it tastes better than it sounds or looks

Bread, grains, pasta, rice, beans, and soup are literally famine/peasant food.

Newsflash: people don't need indigestible fiber that irritates and inflames the gut trying to ferment plant fiber when we're not equipped to break it down.
>>
>>21779264
Oh also I forgot to mention I used a small splash of distilled white vinegar out of a huge jug I bought from the cleaning aisle because it's the cheapest form of acid at the store (it's food grade don't worry)

There's no such thing as soup season as that would imply there's a time where soup is on low supply

In other words they're the most optimal for survival in tight conditions making them morally superior to whatever decadent crap you're taking for granated.

why are ketofags STILL the most abhorrent subhuman faggots on this board?
>>
>>21779307
A million years of raw meat chad vs 12000 years of virgin physical degeneration agriculture
>>
>>21779311
Yes, agriculture has produced civilization in such a relatively short period. It is objectively superior
>>
>>21779311
do you think they put the gatherer part in hunter-gatherer for shits and giggles? hominids have been omnivorous since before humans even existed

>>21779315
Ag enabled survival through malnourishment for the masses to keep them barely fed. The only good thing about Ag is dairy and eggs.
>>21779317
That is a religious belief. Hunters were highly efficient requiring only a single spear throw to kill an animal, and fruits and berries are only in season once a year.
>>
>>21779324

"science" backed by money. The only reason filler food such as grains and greens are pushed is because an acre of crops yields more profits than an acre to feed a cow.

I had a bunch of peanuts that were stale that I didn't want to eat, and the laoganma chili sauce I put in a lot of stuff has peanuts in it so I figured it would be good, and it was.

I have no excuse for the apple. But it was pretty good as well.

Went to a cafe in Haarlem and they served a soup of the day. It was delicious. They said it was a broccoli, aubergine and thyme soup. I want to recreate it for my Christmas menu, have you guys ever made anything like that?
>>
>>21784037
>I prefer garlic soup
How do you make it? Garlic dominant soup is way underrated.
>>
>>21785101
step 1: add the garlic
step 2: add the soup
>>
You guys ever eat soup for breakfast?
