>>21779280Sorry to hear anon, that was like my aunt and cousin. My mom learned from my grandma and knew how to make cheap generational foods. We had a lot of roast, soups, stews and corn bread. Desert was whatever we could find to put cinnamon and sugar on.

It was just like you said: Processed slop from the grocery store or some takeout. Maybe some chicken or spaghetti with meatballs every now and then. Not even homemade potato salad or mac and cheese.
