Pinot Noir is good. I'm drinking some right now and no joke, over the past hour it's opened up to become one of the more enjoyable wines I've had in several months, not counting several wines over T-day. It's just that, if we're being honest, just about every individual thing PN does well, something else does better:-Cherries + assorted dark berries - lagrein does it better-Strawberry + raspberry - trollinger is better-Mushrooms/forest floor - morgon (if you're actually the 1 in 10 who is actually into that and not the 9 in 10 who is just feigning an "adult palate" in the hopes it will get you laid)-Shampain - BDB shampy made entirely of a certain grape that starts with "C" is objectively a better wine, I'd spell out the grape but the red supremacists are watching-Vanilla coke flavors - vanilla coke will do fine at 1/1000th the priceIf you're giving me free pinot noir I'll obviously drink it even if it's from california, and if it's good pinot like from the PNW or europe I'll be unironically happy about it but I just wonder how it is we collectively decided that pinot noir was on the same level as, say, ries->pshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (modem sounds)>NO CARRIER>USER WAS BANNED FOR THIS POST
