am I allowed to use this?
Most faggots do so go right ahead.
>>21779201Ginjar and Jarlic are generally worthwhile, they never taste quite the same as freshly ground or pulverized but one must be practical
>>21779201I wouldn'tyou can if you like, but if they straight up LIE to you on their homepage, I'd give it a pass.you'd be better off buying a microplane and just buying fresh ginger root.it keeps fairly well in the fridge.>pic related

>>21779221There's nothing practical about intentionally making your food taste worse. Lazy is the word you're looking for.
>>21779253Don't let perfect get in the way of good.
>>21779253Well let's put it this way, if I was making something like allio e olio I wouldn't use jarlic for that, becaus the quality, texture, and overall purity of the garlic is absolutely central to the dish. However, if I was making something like meatballs where a million things are going into the mix I might just use a spoonful of garlic paste rather than to deal with mashing up fresh garlic when it's only one minor ingredient amongst 20.
>>21779260It's not good though. I'd rather use dried ginger than that shit.>>21779262Just use garlic powder if you're that lazy.
>>21779291>I'd rather use dried ginger than that shit. Good for you. Have fun.
>>21779260This is also very true. But unless it's already on hand, I would think going out of your way to diminish the quality of your food is a mis-step.>>21779262Reasonable.
>>21779201Not as good as fresh. It has acidic ingredients added as a preservative which can be noticeable if you're eating it with something that isn't acidic. Otherwise it's alright. The only thing I try to avoid is anything like this with onion or onion powder. For some reason onion like this develops some really bad flavors.
every time I've got ginger it's got mouldy in days.
