there's a japanese restaurant in my town run by a nice little old japanese lady that makes some of the best sushi in the county and the only thing I order from there are chicken sandwiches and fried dumplings because I do not like sushi
japanese food is style over substance. like most of their culture. which isn't a bad thing because they are really good at style.

But, maybe don't make sweeping statements in future, dismissing an entire cuisine because it kind of screams a personality disorder or low IQ and experience in yourself, insinuating you hate rice, hate veggies, hate all forms of prep including crispy or hibachi-grilled. It says more about you that you should keep this to yourself.Personally, I always find enough on a japanese menu to satisfy myself, esp with a nice dry cold beer, but it's likely a good 15th in my rankings for sure. It's probably above dead last which is likely Ethopian or Peruvian food. Bleh on both.

Japanese curry is terrible The deserts are horrible Saki sucksBut sushi and teriyaki are amazing Yakitori is really nice
I respect this opinion, there are some great Japanese dishes but in general the cuisine is a little bland and underspiced for me. I like Korean and Thai better for Asian food.
