What did you drink this weekend? I drank pic rel, was good. Didn't expect sugar and caramel to be in it.

Why don't you guys actually try and find GOOD beers so you aren't stuck with some ab-inbev bullshits?
>>
>>21780035
I have good beers, but a lot of times I like crushing 6 or 8 shitty American lagers. They taste really good still
>>
I bought a 12 pack of mixed Schlafly beers last night and put them outside to cool down and forgot about them. It got down to 0 and they froze. Hopefully they thaw in some water okay.
>>
>>21780059
They taste like uttershitem8
What the fuck are you onaboutm8
>>
>>21780035
Because that requires going out of my way to the "beer store" and I don't drink beer often enough to care. There's 4 or 5 excellent wine stores around me and wine is better than beer
>>
>>21780066
Nah they taste really good. Refreshing, bubbly, crisp, with a nice malty corny finish. Excellent and simple.

Extremely based sante enjoyer. The pizza at their store is so good.
>>
>>21780122
Picrel (Cuvee des Jacobins) is even better, but Rodenbach has better distribution so a 4 pack is like $12 cheaper
>>
>>21780127
Just because you like something doesn't make it good
>>21780145
I'd probably get an Audimars Piquet or whatever if I was into watches
Shit's a waste of money THOUGH
>>21780158
I love Sante Adairius, but that fuckin bullshit detroit "pizza" is fuckin blasphemy (it's not Sante pizza, it's from the place they share the space with)
It's like some inner city child was told to make a pizza from just a picture of an already bastardized pizza
Bartender was nice though

My alt(ered)bier is finally ready.
I nailed this one. Just on the crisply bitter side of balanced, a bit on the strong side, the roast malt was just enough to change the colour without adding any char to the flavour.

This pic was a test bottle - still a bit of acetaldehyde (green apple / fresh pumpkin), and not nearly carbonated enough.

Picrel. A Cantillon from 2014.
>>
>>21780187
So what makes your beers "good" apart from you liking them?
>>
>>21780187
It is absolute blasphemy, but delicious blasphemy. I like that they source local ingredients for it. I think it would piss off a lot of people on /p/ and italians, which also makes it based pizza.
>>
>>21780301
I miss Fiddler's Elbow.

>>21780309
Different asshole here, but if enough people like something and rate it, it's usually a sign that it's good. Then again, popularity isn't always a sign of quality.
If something either achieves its goals, or is full of pleasant surprises, that's enough for me to tell someone else that it's good.
My tropical stout's way more plum than cherry, but still very much stone fruit on a bittersweet chocolate-coffee base, and the aftertaste fades almost completely linearly, like it's evaporating off your tongue. It's pretty fucking good.
The beer I pitched to my local just got put on tap on a trial basis. It's a copper take on a proper Pilsner. The hops speak clearly but not loudly; the malt does it's thing without making it a sweet beer. Very, very clean finish. Exactly what I had on paper - no surprises. The owner wants to at least make it seasonal, permanent if it continues to sell well. It's also good.

Holy smokes, 1.49 GBP/1 Pint. That's like 1.70€/0,568 L, 2.1 cl of pure alcohol. Is that beer any good or straight hobo drank? Germany can't compete even with our standard typical 5% lagers. Cheapest price I've seen in krautland is 3.48 GBP/1 Pint, 2.8 cl alcohol.
>>
>>21780556
It's not a great beer. Just a standard bitter. It's only 3.4% now as well, for tax reasons. So yeah, not great, but it's drinkable. These prices are unusual for Britain too, it's just that this chain, Wetherspoons, somehow manages to offer drinks significantly cheaper than anywhere else. You could also get a shot of whisky for £1.50, although I think that's gone up too. Basically the only place poorer people can afford to drink at

I told the dude of the beer shop that this was hitler's beer (you can make that argument alone based on hin actually painting the building in one of his paintings, and there's probably more if you dig), next time I went it was not on the fridge anymore, but the next next time it was again, guess he forgot how evil hitler was

Life is harm, just don't be more of an asshole than you have to be (unless you're going to absolutely nail it for a decade or so, and accept the consequences of your cockswabbery with grace and dignity).
A lot of German companies have a good 10-25 year history of being entwined with the nazi party to varying degrees. Not-Chaplin liked their beer and rented out their beer hall to make a few impassioned/full-on-mental speeches to some passionate/full-on-mental people who were sick of being fucked over for the crime of being German after WWI, and needed someone to blame but also to put into labour camps. The brewery and its surrounding castle predated all of this by almost 800 years... The reconstruction after being bombed to shit was a bit of a rush job to have it ready for the octocentenary of the brewery.
>>
>>21782087
Does anyone actually give a fuck? I thought hitler didn't even drink
>>
>>21780974
Ayinger and Weihenstephaner are macro breweries that produce good beer, but not great ones in comparison to other German lagers. Try pic rel if you like Helles or Sandersdorfer Bio Helles.

Aussie here. Carton of corona on special yesterday was fucking $70. 10 years ago it was 39.95. what exactly the fuck has happened apart from taxrape to make the cost of the worst thing to come out of Mexico increase like this? It can't be import tax because those dog dick Dutch beers are still cheaper per carton than the locally brewed stuff. Honestly if I lived in Missouri or one of those places where you can get a beer for less than $1 I would be fucking dead overnight and yet still I'm spending over $350 a week on beer when not away working.
