Are Wustof knives really this bad?
>>21781408I have had cheap as shit knifes. People who post pics like this are using their shit as pry bars.
Had mine for years, literally never had an issue with it
I worked in housewares at a department store where these were probably the best quality knives we sold. Never had a single complaint or return.
>>21781420Yeah you can tell they abused it once you look closer at the blade.
>>21781408I bet this fucking idiot put that shit in the dishwasher
>>21781439what in the dishwasher would cause it to break though?
>>21781450My guess is that she threw it in the top rack, it fell down and the plastic blade whacked the shit out of it repeatedly
>>21781454that wouldn't break a metal knife
>>21781454That wouldn't break a steel blade.
>>21781454that sounds extremely improbable
>>21781421>>21781424Is the handle pretty strong? I’ve had a couple cheap knives with handles that broke due to bad tangs, wondering if I can trust Wu’ tangs
>>21781408nobody knows what that brand is.
>>21781424you rocking dept. 15 is irrelevant.
Considering Gordon Ramsay used these I don’t think they’re that bad. Slightly thick blades but all knives of that style are. Breaking it should be next to impossible. Must have pried it.
>>21781573>muh gordon ramsayAre you a perma-TV-watching middle-aged woman
>>21781573gordon is a hack doe
Bog standard german style knife, the best you can get from a mass scale producerGood value in Europe, terrible value elsewhere
>>21781573The knives are good but not because Gordon uses them. The man sells frozen dinners in Walmart and struggles with grilled cheese.
>>21781424How would you ever even come to know this? It's not like dept stores have had inidividual dept counters like in "Are You Being Served?" for quite some decades. No one is going to go back to that specific aisle, looking for the clerk of that section to complain.
>>21781408they're the wustof any knife I've ever used
>>21781408I knew a guy who bought Wustof specifically for their warranty, and when he wanted a new one he'd take it outside and throw it against the pavement until it was unusable. I have no idea why the company honors shit like that. It's obviously not reasonable use.
>>21781454There should exist a GIF of that dead guy in Desperado with the ceiling fan slapping him in the face repeatedly, and I should be able to post it here in response to your silly post.Instead we'll all have to imagine it.
>>21781668Why would he even want a new one? Too lazy/dumb to sharpen them?
>>21781573Have you considered that he is an actor an not a real chef?
I've had my Wusthof knives for 20+ years
>>21781673Each new knife increased his izzat
>>21781668It's a high trust society thing You wouldn't understand
>>21781654>It's not like dept stores have had inidividual dept counters like in "Are You Being Served?" Macys, where I worked, was very much like this, and as far as I know still is, minus the constant innuendo-laced banter. Maybe you're thinking of places like Kohl's? Or, given the reference, perhaps British? Though I did visit Harrods the one time I was in London and that was very similar to Macys. At my store, customers were discouraged from making returns to the general customer service desk, which was mostly for price adjustments, credit card issues and gift wrapping. In the case of difficult customers who refused to go to the appropriate department, any returns were still sent back to the correct department to be bundled with other returns going to the same manufacturer or distributor, and had to be accounted for in our departmental inventory, which someone from another department like children or shoes or bedding would not be able to do.
>>21781408NoI once saw a 1 star review for some glass bowls saying "I dropped one and it broke"t. 10 inch Wustof Chef's Knife owner for 7 years
>>21781408anytime you see negative reviews of items from established and trusted brands, there's a 99% chance it was made by a retarded third world brownoid who misused the item like a chimp.
>>21781408if it snaps like that it means the steel is probably hard which is generally good for a knife.
>>21781861scamming companies is nigger behavior anon
>>21781674you're gonna be shocked to learn what he did before TV shows
>>21783132mostly crying
>>21781408this is why I exclusively use a KABAR for cooking. if it can gut a man, it can gut a fish
