When leaving a restaurant, it is impolite to leave liquid in your glass
And?
>>21781430There is no requirement for manners with someone who expects you to give them money.
>>21781438the gulf between someone who displays manners when required rather than when not required is vast
>>21781459Welcome to the jungle.
>>21781459Yes, the difference between me and some retard who thinks it's rude to leave water in a glass is indeed vast
I pour any remaining liquid left in my glass in my pockets before I leave a restaurant.
>>21781430Ok, next time I'll dump the rest on the floor before I leave. Thanks for the hot tip, anon!
>>21781430no.
>>21781430Why tho
>>21781548prob has a life.
>>21781488What do you do with it when you get back home?
And if I do, what are they going to do about it? Once a waiter gets their tip, why would they go above and beyond to chase me down and lecture me?
>>21781438societal requirements
>>21781459it's the difference between a human and a N-
>>21781911this desu senpai
>>21781683society isn't real, neither is money.it's time to grow up, anon.
>>21781430This is not true at all. I can't believe people are accepting this as some kind of actual etiquette.
>>21781430so just toss it on the ground
>>21781652Put in in the frigde
>>21781430>When leaving a restaurant, it is impolite to leave liquid in your glassNeither. It's irrelevant to etiquette to leave unfinished items on your plate or in your glass. You control what you consume. My mom always told me it was only rude to quickly down the remaining contents before standing up or even after standing up, not to look cheap. You're not a garbage disposal and shouldn't chug to get your money's worth. I do however take up the offer of a drink to go on a very hot day. I like when a waitress does that offer, esp if nonsweet iced tea.
>>21781430It is also impolite to finish all your food. You are supposed to leave a single bite left to show the chef they cooked a perfect amount of food.
>>21782290if you leave some food wouldn't that mean that they made too much?
>>21781911>can't even finish his wordMaybe you should stick to tw*tter and r*ddit, it's more your alley.
>>21781430>it is impolite to leave liquid in your glassnot when I did not request a refill.and also, no it's not.
>>21782036>I can't believe people are accepting this as some kind of actual etiquettesame as putting carts in the corral. because of people making a big deal about it I no longer do it.
>>21782290not in japan. you are expected to eat the meal and not take anything home. especially in small restaurants.
>>21782620>I do the wrong thing because people tell me it's the wrong thing Jesus christ how gay can you be
>>21782290Are you that same schizo that had a meltdown a few months ago because everyone called your retardation out because eating all the food shows a much greater appreciation than not finishing the meal?
>>21781430This. The amount of liquid in your glass has been precisely poured for your optimal enjoyment. In any quality restaurant, servers apprentice for at least 5 years to learn this before they are allowed to serve their first customer.
>>21782296Not if it's a single small bite. Otherwise the chef will think he did not make enough. >>21782624Good to know if I ever go there!>>21782634No, I hardly ever post to this board. It's not an uncommon practice of manners for those who have them.
>>21781488holy digits!
>>21782630>Jesus christ how gay can you beask magatards that's their whole way of doing things.
>>21782630so you just do everything you are told because the internet said so? pathetic.
>>21781430thats why I always empty it on the floor before I go
>>21781430>be me>go to restaurant>server is very attentive, and refills my water glass as soon as I empty it.>finish meal, ask for check>pay bill, server refills my glass>ok...>chug water, start to get up>server refills my glass>dont want to be rude. Sit down, drink my water>finish it and get up to leave >server standing face to face with me>refills glass>t-thank you>step around him and start walking towards the door>whole restaurant is silent as I walk towards the door>hear a whisper from one of the tables>"some people have no manners">cry in my car
