Okay… yea this is some god tier chicken.

Significantly better than other drive through chains.
Still meaningfully worse than it should be. Suburbisharts probably won't go here since they have to get out of their cars, but Gus's is the best fried chicken chain. Really consistent frying technique across locations and the chickens they source are high quality - much better flavor than a lot of places.
That said this is also /ck/. There is zero (0) reason to not just make fried chicken at home. Its easy and after a few times you will consistently turn out a product more suited to your personal tastes than any chain.

There's actually a pretty good reason to not fry chicken at home and it's because I don't want my house to perpetually smell like a deep fryer and have my walls coated in oil residue

I have never heard anything positive about this chain except from actual filipinos, so I am assuming the draw is not quality, but nostalgia.

Err...the issue with chains is "fast food" companies use speedy pressure cookers to fry, which forces oil under the skin, into the bones, and into the actual chicken flesh. Greasy tummyache just to shave off the necessary 25 minutes to cook chicken pieces in a deep fryer.

People absolutely do not want to deep fry at home, and will continue to order unhealthier fried items when out to dinner for that reason, as a treat to order something they don't usually do at home.

Oil residue is a skill issue.
Smell can be resolved with better ventilation in your kitchen, but thats obviously expensive/not possible if you rent so makes sense.
Try Gus's OP, if you live in a large enough metro to have a Jollibee you probably also have a Gus's. Assuming you are US based.

I want a giant female worker Jollibee© to sting me in the ass with her modified ovipositor stinger. After she punctures the inner wall of my rectum, I'll watch her pull away, shrieking in pain and bleeding ketchup as her digestive tract, made of giant strands of Jolly Spaghetti™ and covered in hot dog meat sauce, separates from her body along with the stinger, which is pumping frosty purple yam ice cream into my sphincter. She beats her crispy breaded Chickenjoy™ wings furiously, showering the area with stale grease, as she tries to fly back to the hive, but her gaping ass wound where her stinger used to bee is too deep, and she flops down on the ground, hyperventilating and sweating gravy from every pore. I'll watch her gasp and spasm like the chunk of flan in a halo-halo as she bleeds out the last of her ketchup blood onto the parched ground and then fall down on top of her, her stinger still filling me with frosty fun, and start paradoxically undressing as hypothermia begins to kill me from the inside out.

No it's literally not. If the person working the frier at KFC is competent its top tier, otherwise popeyes is also miles ahead of Jollibee. Honestly shit from the grocery store or other third party sources is just as good as Jollibee's.

The whole restaurant reeks of third world country with supply chain issues and it's what I imagine school lunches are like in the us.

I wouldn't know because I do not live in the Philippines
>>
>>21782131
For me it's not wanting to clean up a bunch of batterslop infested dishes and things that are also infected with raw chicken bacteria, and not wanting to get burned by the incessant spatter
Really anyone who recommends making fried chicken at home is less of a /ck/ and more of just a dirty NEET whose time has no value whatsoever

>>21782133
I'm Filipino, and honestly I don't know. I've found local McDonalds' to have better quality control/management than Jollibee. it probably depends per branch, but I've had soggy fries served from Jollibee before and I'm like yeah no

In America literally any fried chicken chain is better than the standard nigger they're used to
And as a happa, the real winning factor is being able to get palabok on the fast and cheap
