Does anyone here actually use a grill pan, and if so, what is the use case for it?At best I can see it used (1) to drain some fat and (2) to get aesthetically pleasing grill lines on foodOtherwise it seems like an absolutely dogshit invention that reduces heated surface area and is a pain to clean.

>>21782381Cool video but I'm not sure Marco explained why that was the pan for the job
>>21782390Well he talked about the pan as an alternative to a grill if it's raining out and then he talked about the fish not sticking, I guess as a function of surface area. Of course those are just inferences, as you said neither the poster nor Marco went into specifics.
>>21782390It's his choice.

>>21782371I use it because it's square (fits 4 chicken burgers instead of 3!).That's literally all there is to it. I'm also unemployed and mentally deficient
>>21782371burgershotdogsit works really well if you use it like a baking tray, that is use it to get grill marks on some meat, then put the whole thing in the oven.
