Am I the only one who thinks chicken tastes bad and people only eat it because of all the seasoning used to cover up the taste?
>>
Yes

i mean yeah, but its like that with most meat not raised by humans, also chicken is riddled with bacteria through and through, which means a marinade is very needed to get rid of that funky off bacteria smell
>>

considering the ubiquity of chicken stock even in dishes to which you would never even think of adding actual chicken, yes.
>>
hey op, chicken here, go fuck yourself

i feel the same way. pork tastes pretty bad to me as well.

some people say it's because they're fed cheap corn/soy which isn't good for them and it makes them sick so it makes it taste worse. grain-fed beef and farmed fish tastes worse to me than grass-fed beef and wild fish. i've never tried pastured chicken or pork though. i don't really eat meat much anymore in general.

eggs taste kind of crappy to me even with the expensive pastured ones though. cheaper eggs have a more noticeable funky aftertaste but pastured ones still don't taste great either.

i think grass-fed milk also tastes better but it's pretty expensive, like triple the price of grain-fed milk.

Yes. Chicken is great with a little salt and lightly pan fried in olive oil to a golden brown. Anything else is just icing on the cake.

No. I do not like the flavor of chicken, and will only eat chicken dishes that are heavily spiced. Butter chicken, Manchurian chicken, chicken adobo, those are the main dishes i genuinely like. Otherwise, I’m just getting it down lol
I will not eat fried chicken or chicken breast desu. I can’t, it’s awful!
Ironically i make a great chicken and noodles.

Most people overcook chicken, also in modern cooking people tend to over rely on seasoning. Some of the best chicken I had was grilled chicken with salt, or chicken fried in it's own fat that was made by my grandma.
>>
>I don't like chicken, therefore everyone who likes chicken is just collectively lying or coping to make people believe chicken is good
Why are people on this site so inclined to believing literally often billions of people are all collectively lying about something?
>>
>>21782563
it tastes like nothing, might as well eat a block of raw tofu
notice how every chicken recipe drowns it in salt and flavourings

It was spoiled

Literally every meat tastes bad without seasoning.
What's your problem?

Chicken is very tasty even without seasoning. Just cook it in the oven with onions and sauce or its fat and stuff is already awesome. Or just roasted in a pan.

All milk tastes the same unless it's some homo almond soy bullshit

nah. there are differences in the type of fat between grass-fed and grain-fed. that gives a slightly different taste. grain-fed stuff tastes slightly off because it's typically not what the animal is meant to be eating and it's not best for their health.

I prefer chicken roasted in oil or butter with salt and pepper to beef roasted in oil or butter with salt.
If herbs and seasonings, garlic, shallots, sauces, etc. are on the table, 100% the steak, roast, or prime rib win, but just the flavour of the thing itself, I find the chicken around here to usually be more flavourful than the beef.
