im doing some cabbage rolls in some chicken broth. they will go into the oven soon

what do you like to put in your cabbage rolls, /ck/?

that sounds delicious, mushrooms sound nice and green peppers would get so sweet and good in the oven i imagine

i was thinking of a vegitarian cabbage roll i could make and a duxelle is what i was thinking as filling

the one i am making now has ground pork, some green onions, garlic, oregano, dried cranberries (try it out) and sliced almonds and touch of nutmeg for warmth

1-2 raisin in the grape roll is a really nice touch, it contrasts the lemon and dill flavor and it's very tasty and it pairs nicely with the rice.

I've made roast chicken filled with rice, chestnuts and mushrooms and I've put some raisins in it - that was also very good.
