Where did it all go wrong? I remember going to this place in the late ‘90s and it was so cozy, and a cut above fast food. “Fast casual” was kind of a new thing. Soup in breadbowls? Sign me up? Me and high school friends would go there and enjoy it.Now, though, everything I hear about them is negative and I haven’t been back in years. Kind of afraid to, since I don’t want my memories to be affected.
everything sucks now
>>21786102buy an ad.
>>21786106saying a place sucks now is advertising?
>>21786113yes it's called engagement. you get people to post and go there. it works. why do you think starbucks put the wrong name on their cups? it's so retards will post about it. free advertising.
>>21786122>yes it's called engagement. you get people to post and go there. it works.have you seen how much the traffic has fallen on /ck/? nobody ever "advertised" here and nobody ever will. you are too stupid to live
>>21786124You drastically overestimate the value of an advertisers time and effort

>>21786124>nobody ever "advertised" here and nobody ever willyeah that's why every time mcdonalds comes out with a new gimmick meal there are threads about it, and how excited some anon is to try it.yeah sure anon "no one advertises here".
>>21786134>can't tell the difference between trolling and advertising

>>21786152> Carbone says the goal is to reach $7 billion in annual sales by 2028 behind “Panera RISE,” a new strategy intended to undo the chain’s cost-cutting measures, which he dubbed “death by a thousand paper cuts.”A CEO going against the grain of cost-cutting? In MY capitalist nation?
>>21786187A smart capitalist knows when to fold 'em, but this guy isn't about to do enough. I bet it still sinks
>>21786124I still remember a couple years ago when someone accused me of being Ree Drummond lmao
>>21786102It orders form the same sysco deli catalog as every other mediocre deli chain. So you can go to a Jason's Deli, or a McAlister's or Panera's and order the soup and it will taste exactly the same.
>>21786311>Jason's Deli, or a McAlister'sSounds like someone lives in Missouri
>>21786102I'm pretty sure they realized the majority of their sales are from companies purchasing for meetings and events, and everything else is secondary >paneras quality is down! hr stacy in charge of ordering shit doesn't care>paneras too expensive!it's written off on tax reports, nobody cares>it's hospital food!close, it's *office* food
>>21786357Yeah I used to work at a hospital that had an Au Bon Pain (a Panera equivalent) on the ground floor and we ordered that for meetings so much we got tired of it. Only other option was the cafeteria food though or delivery
>>21786102private equity
I remember going there as a kid sometime around 2006 or 2007 and thinking it was great, particularly with the Jones sodas I had never seen before. I've gotten it paid for at work several times as an adult and 'free' is now about the extent of what I would be willing to pay for it.
>>21786105fpbpand for the record, i never recall Panera being good and im 32.
>>21786150I wasn't calling you out, I was there. I ate the one one S Grand and Arsenal all the time in the late 90's early 00's. Amazing bread, big sandwich toasted. Freshly made soup. $6.99.
>>21786149as you can see by the posts in this thread I am right. it engendered exactly the thing OP wanted.

>>21786102I'll never understand the consensus hate for panera. Even subway, arguably the most dogshit chain restaurant in the world, has a few weirdos willing to go to bat for it online.Panera sandwiches are all tasty, good quality and unique for a nationwide chain. The only problem is they're very pricey, but so is everything else.>muh lemonadeDead lady ignored jitters from excess caffeine and kept drinking cup after cup of caffeineade until she died. Her fault for not only neglecting to read what she was consuming, but also ignoring every sign her body gave her that something was wrong. If I drank 30 cans of redbull in one sitting and died everyone would rightfully call me a fucking retard.
THEY RUINED THE ITALIAN COMBO SANDWICH I WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM OR EAT THERE AGAIN
i've never had panera bread before, what should i get from there tomorrow?
>>21786156Man i miss when this place didn’t have schizos calling everything shilling.
