Am I the only one who loves shellfish while being kinda "meh" on regular fish? I'd kill for crawdads, shrimp, calamari, mussels, scallops, etcetera but when it comes to fish, like I'll eat it sure, but it's nothing I'd ever actively seek out yk? Makes me kinda sad that shellfish allergies are so common.
Of you're American, then no. Damn near all of them love the fuck outta shellfish but don't fuck with scaled fish

>>21787368Sure, but the salmon people here eat practically no other seafood. In better restaurants, it's like the new roast chicken for unadventurous eaters.>>21787390OK, maybe some tuna too. But if there's a line here at the seafood counter at the fancy lady grocery, they're all getting salmon.
>>21787396Yeah but all the lower-middle class moms buying fish sticks for their kids cannot be discounted, all that cod/pollock/tilapia surely counts for quite a lot of the average us childs diet.

>>21787251I like both shellfish and regular fish depending on what's available. There are some kinds of 10/10 regular fish like trout, mahi mahi, red snapper, tripletail, etc. that are every bit as good as well-prepared scallops or calamari, but they can be hard to find. A nice blackened slab of red snapper is a borderline religious moment.
