This one is made in the U.S. but a friend sent me a slab of boar prosciutto from somewhere in northern Italy. IIRC was very dry and didn't taste at all like prosciutto.

Yeah, same thing. I'm having an uncomfortably hard time finding decent capicola - the quality's going down or it's not selling as quickly and it's being cut and sitting around. I live in the middle of Somewhere, Pennsylvania, so it's not a complete surprise.
