>visiting friends in Europe >go to their house for dinner>pic related is basically what their kitchen looked likeIs this normal for laundry to be done in kitchens in europe? In the US, we have separate rooms.
Yeah. Pretty normal.
In small places it's not uncommon, just like washing machines in the bathroom. But in regular houses you wont see it, because who the fuck would want to. There's zero upsides.I don't even have my dishwasher in another room than the kitchen. Don't hear the noise and don't see the dirty dishes when I'm lazy.
europoors don't have stoves?
>>21794535>I don't even have my dishwasher in another room than the kitchen.I even*
yuros don't have modern technologyno AC, no dryers, no automatic transmissions, etc
I visited a friend who moved to the Isle of Man, where they also have ShopRite (just like NYC!) and ate dinner at the home of a friend of hers who was landed gentry and whose home has a name to the point where you can Google it (and her) and it just comes up. Like, actual pictures of her house. It's neat.
>>21794524> we have separate roomsYou have a communal laundry in your trailer park?
>>21794560meanwhile you're over there spending all your money building extra rooms for each of your appliances
>>21794679Don't be silly there's plenty of extra room in the garage.
You can find houses in the US with laundry appliances in the kitchen; usually older homes. My dad's home was built in the 50s and has his washer & dryer in the kitchen.

>>21794679You have no idea how much we take floorspace in a house for granted

I have a question for the europeons. If you don’t have a dryer and you are living in some cuck apartment with no yard how do you dry your clothes? Do you just have shit hung up all over the place in your house?
>>2179502060% of Europeans own a tumble dryer. The rest live in Spain, Italy, Greece etc where the sun dries everything.
older homes have laundry in the kitchen because that's where all the water line are, so that's the easiest place to retrofit in the machine.>>21795020you put it on a wire rack or you have a line strung across your balcony
>>21794524the UK not being in Europe notwithstanding, do Brits boil their food in the dishwasher or the clothes washer?
>>21794560We don't have Internet either, we use shamans to tap into the world wide web
>>21794524Why have you posted this periodically for at least the last 5 years?

>>21795221>yes I only need to wash a single outfit
>>21795326Are you a fat fuck? I'm 6'5" and can fit a couple of pairs of jeans, a couple of jumpers, 3 or 4 t-shirts, half a dozen pairs of boxers and however many pairs of socks I want. If I need to do more, I'll put another load on.

>>21795332We've got a small but extremely fast washing "machine" set up in the bathroom, leftover from when my kid was an infant because we went the cloth diaper route.Anyway, when our regular washer in the laundry room broke down, I dug it out of storage and set it up again to use while we shopped for a new washer. We were surprised by how much it can actually fit when you're not using it to clean poo cloths. It took three loads to wash a week's worth of clothing but considering it takes 15 minutes per load, it was pretty much the same amount of time it would've taken had we used a proper washer. Only issue is that it's non-electric. It's hand cranked. But it worked in a pinch and we were tempted to continue using it instead of buying a proper washer but the lack of spin cycle ultimately meant it's going to be used for emergencies exclusively. Also camping.
>>21794679Yes. Is this supposed to be some kind of own?>HAHA YOU HAVE MONEY FOR EXTRA SPACEUh yeah
All the washing machines or washer/dryer combos I've known were either in the bath or somewhere in the basement.

>>21794524Where's the toilet? A proper kitchen should have a toilet.
>>21794890How much cubic cms is 1 deer?
>>21794524Thats a 1980's kitchen in a very small house>>21794537There is a cooker to the left, you can just see it and there is a cooker switch (the cooker is on its own circuit and has a switch where you can turn it off) - its the thing below the eggs in the cupboard. >>21794560No need for AC, Ive got a combi boiler and a wood burner. It never for the two weeks a year its warm and damp enough to want AC, I keep the curtains closed. Got a dryer but hardly use it, more efficient to have two dehumidifiers in a room I dry washing in when I cant outside. My truck is an auto, Mrs's car is an auto. Where you have, or even having a washing machine in the UK relates to how much space you have, which relates to how much money you have. Its not uncommon for people to not have a washing machine and use a laundrette. I sometimes use a laundrette if I have been working on a car/truck and the clothes are covered in oil/grease, using creosote etc because fuck stinking my own washing machine out with that stuff.
>>21794524Are these machines what Americans really cook their burgers in???
Any european with a house in europe is a millionaire. We pay 1st world prices for 3rd world living. We also import the 3rd world as hard as we can.
