Food delivery apps have won, it's not going to be possible to pack a lunch if you want anything other than a sandwich.
No more housewives doing shitty pyramid scheme parties, no more tupperware. There are plenty of other plastic boxes. Or better yet, pack a thermos with rich soup.
Retarded thread by a retarded person. Anyone who disagrees is retarded by extension.
Pyrex CHADS win again
>>21795865>No more housewives doing shitty pyramid scheme partiesWas that even a real thing outside of 90's sitcoms?>>21795873They don't even make pyrex out of real boro-silicate glass with high thermal shock resistance anymore.>>21795869Go order some doordash, chud.
>>21795863is this the same as when private equity acquired instant pot, loaded up the company with debt and made unrelated products using the instant pot name to sell spoons and shit?
>>21795877>Was that even a real thing outside of 90's sitcoms?Yes. It was a pretty successful marketing strategy.
>>21795863why are you posting such an old twitter post?some company already bought the name and will continue selling tupperware
>>21795863Tupperware was overcharging when there are plenty of better competitors. Nothing is over.
>>21795877Yes, I have a lot of half siblings all over the country because dad sold pyrex in the 80s
>>21795968Is that why anti-meal prepers are so emotional? Cause their dads got cucked by the pyrex/tupperware salesman?
when they stopped making it out of airplane plastic and made the same generic plastic slop you can buy anywhere
>>21795863i use glass pyrex i dont want more than my rda of microplastics

>>21795873This. I gave up on plastic years ago. It all stained, warps, it's all bad for you. I use glass containers now. I bought a set 8 years ago and haven't had to replace any of them.
>>21796068Controlling digestion is one of my least favorite vore tropes
>>21796072>buy glass containers>the plastic lids crack and warp>can't find replacements easily

>>21796091aluminum foil fucking rules. Unless you mean the smaller meal prep glass that you need to microwave for work lunch or whatever. if that's the case, then time is I will pull it out of the fridge early and eat it room temp.
>>21795973>emotionalthere's nothing emotional about recognizing psychopathy, anon.everybody has time to prep a meal every day.if you really think you don't you're only having a psychotic episode, usually a paranoid delusion.
>>21796094plastic wrap also works and is actually the suggestion for the reheat setting on a microwave.

>>21795873Do pyrex make good meal prep containers? I only have a couple of their small jugs which have been pretty good.

>>21795987try that in a small town
I ran a thread a few months ago where I was freezing food in ice cube tray looking things I bought on amazon. Love it so much, turns out its called lego lunches
>>21795863>awkward unstackable mold shapeWoah, this is useless!
>>21796121Its funny because by this (obviously true) experience you can immediately intuitively understand plastic leeching, and how nearly anything slightly acidic OR oily that's sold in plastic, is exchanging molecules with the plastic
>>21795863the Tupperware brand has declared bankruptcy because theres a million tupperware knockoff brands that sell the exact same shit a little cheaper
>>21795877yes, there was an entire industry based on preying on stupid bored housewives who want to feel "financially liberated" by running a "home business". I remember the door to door salesmen shilling stuff like encyclopaedias, vacuums, volcano insurance, and the other useless stuff that you see on infomercials. before infomercials they had to go to your door to try and sell it.
>>21796606> preying on stupid bored housewives who want to feel >encyclopaedias, vacuums, volcano insurance, and the other uselessThat's not all

>>21796096>everybody has time to prep a meal every day. Some dishes reheat well enough that if you're busy for those days then it makes sense. Things like noodles, pasta dishes, soups. When I worked a job that had a lot of time on and a lot of time off in clusters, making a large batch of noodles or soup meant I didn't need to worry about prepping something between my shifts. What you're displaying is splitting, which is a sign of actual mental illness.
>>21796630I've been here too long that I understood that image immediately.>just a shot of vokda
I just checked, and I actually only have Pyrex and Rubbermaid containers.
>>21797368BBC isn't exactly an old thing
>>21795863I don't think I have even one tupperware brand in all of my ridiculous unstable mountain of food containers
A strange phenomenon happens to me when I use these types of meal prep containers. this may just be hyper autism but its super noticeable. I typically heat the food in these in a microwave and do it in 2 steps. I put a bit of water inside to help steam, then blast for a minute or two, wait, stir, then blast one more time. but when I stir, food just jumps out. I feel like I'm being gentle, i'm certainly making an effort to. but the distance my food jumps out doesn't feel proportionate to the amount of force I'm using. maybe I just have heavier hand movements than I think but I swear this only happens with these types of containers
>>21795863why would anyone buy tuperware when you can buy non-brand stuff just like it 1000% cheaper?
just get a big pack of thesealso what the FUCK is with the new captcha

Good. If any plastic touches your food, you fucked up.They make Tupperware like things of glass. They still have plastic lids, but that doesn't touch your door so it's okay
>>21798033Highly relatable post. There must be some highly chaotic interactions going on in the bowl, because sometimes even when you're being slow and gentle, things just fucking jump out of the bowl.
>>21798093>Mircoplastics aren't going to kill you for fucks sake.Unless they give you cancer. But they don't have to kill you to fuck up your hormones and cause other problems you ignorant fool. Merry Christmas!
>>21798824Being in the same zip code as a plastic container isn't going to leech microplastics the way you're afraid it will. Just don't cook with them.
>>21799088Or put food in them. Or use plastic utensils
>>21798824I like how boomers poisoned their children and act surprise that gen X and after are getting 3-4x the cancer rates as them.
Even ignoring the plastic leeching into your food, it just doesn't microwave well. Glass is less porous and doesn't warp. It even fucking freezes better, plastic is a meme that only took over because it weighs less and thus is easier to ship.
The vast majority of the microplastics in your body comes from the environment, not stuff you’re personally interacting with. Worrying about plastic tupperware is silly and performative if you’re not also advocating for massive regulations and limits on plastics manufacturing. A huge source of microplastics is car tires. Are you in favor of expanding rail and other mass transit to reduce car use? If not, then stop pretending to care. Crowing on /ck/ about only using glass tupperware is just virtue signaling
>>21799219>boomers poisoned their childrenThey didn't know, and these days they use more plastic than anyone else
>>21799317Dude just buy glass containers. They are not much more expensive than the plastic ones and they're better in every way. Just because we're already getting poisoned from other things doesn't mean you should just give up and poison yourself too. Even if it's a small reduction in your exposure, it's still an improvement.
everyone uses glass now
How about I live out the rest of my life and NEVER use a so-called "delivery app" even once? That's my plan.
>>21797176I thought so too, but she hasn't lezzed out in the 26 years since she divorced my dad. I think she was just a greedy bitch looking for a get rich quick scheme. And she found one by divorcing my dad.
