What's the difference between this and "authentic" German bratwurst? Looks the same to me.
The only real notable difference is that American brats are better overall.
>>21797869How so?
>>21797861Is this what Germans are cramming daily?
>>21797870By virtue of being American.
>>21797861Here in Germany, or rather here in Bavaria at least, pretty much all types of Bratwurst come pre-boiled, you just heat them up in a pan and give them a nice sear. It may be different in other parts of Germany though. I think raw Bratwürste is more a Polish thing. No Bratwurst I have ever seen in a store or eaten in a restaurant was made with or boiled in beer. Bratwurst with cheese inside though is pretty common though, they are called "Käsekrainer" where I live. Especially popular with people who have grill parties in their garden.
>>21797877How does that confer betterness?
>>21797882Tautologically.
>>21797882germans can't make good food
>>21797886So, not at all?
>>21797889That but the polar opposite of that, actually.
>>21797861I actually had Johnsonville for the first time over the summer and I wasn't all that impressed.
>>21797861Nothing
>>21797861Quality of pork, fat to protein ratio, spices, casing, additives
Johnsonville are the worst brats IMO. Pretty much any grocery store or butcher has store made, fresh brats that are much better.
>>21797861idk, but as a Pole I always found it weird that Kielbasa or Polish Sausage is one particular thing in Americawe have many different types of sausage over here, they're all called kiełbasa
this thread is proof that almost no one on /ck/ actually knows anything about anything
>>21798807It depends on where you are in America. At a random grocery store? Yeah polish sausage is just a smoked sausage pretty much. At a butcher shop? There are a ton of options.
>>21798811I know I could beat you up, but alas, I don't like unfair advantages and beating up the mentally retarded.
>>21798886So when does your holiday break from middle school end?
>>21798890Listen, bitchtits, I'm older than you.Not only that, I'm smarter and stronger than you.I outrank you.
>>21798900Well now I’m definitely convinced, you 100% sound like a stable, mature adult and not an insecure teenager
>>21797878The pre boiled ones are white, right? Aldi has those
>>21798908NTA but based on this exchange I would bet the guy would whoop your ass desu senpai
All American sausages have orange colored oil leak out of them, whereas I've never seen that in Europe.
>>21798908Just admit you get rekt by that guyif you keep smarting off to him he'll probably make good on his physical threats.
>>21798920>>21798936default response to everything is just “i’ll beat you up” lol really working with the intellectual cream of the crop here
>>21798919That's Weißwurst. It is VERBOTEN to eat them after noon. They're pretty much the same as these. You can do whatever you want with them. The ones you have to cook are usually in the colder sections along with ground meat, etc. and packaged like in OP. There are some that require cooking and are vacuum-packaged, which can be sold unrefrigerated as well (at least some, e. g. Mettenden). Germany is pretty autistic about food, so you will always find warnings if you're not supposed to eat it raw. However, I had plenty of Mettenden straight out of the package with no problems, except that they tend to be a bit too greasy.
>>21798954>They're pretty much the same as these. Not really no
>>21798957>Brühwurst
>>21798946Yeah if someone can physically dominate you, nothing you say matters while arguing with that person
>>21798981this is the internet though. not real life
>>21799034And even on the internet you sound like a weak lil dweeb. Get rekt, whimp
>>21797861Why the fuck do Americans call sausages brats, I’m Canadian and never seen brats
>>21799047shhh it’s almost your bedtime
>>21799051Bratwurst is a type of sausage. Why are Canadians so fucking stupid and uncultured? Oh yeah they're the garbage france threw out
>>21798807I dont know much about Polish or German food, but there is this little Polish delicatessen aptly named "Polish Delicatessen" in Leesburg Florida that makes the best Polish and German sausages I have ever. They even make their own liverwurst, and it's amazing.
>>21799177Wherever they are in the world, those sorts of delis are absolutely based. Treasure them!
>>21797878I boiled some brats in beer and posted here once, I got brutalized.
I wish my grocery store had brats I could buy.
>>21797861>>21797870americans add corn syrup to their brats
>>21799197This. We have Schaller & Weber on the UES and I get German food from there all the time. I know how lucky I am to have them.
>>21797874... no? Eating bratwurst outside of a bbq is considered plebeian and in poor taste.
>>21797887Not even German but you don’t know shit
>>21799571Mass produced brats in Germany have dextrose in them. That's the same thing as corn syrup
