Ive never had a good chinese buffet. Some of the Mediterranean buffets I have been to are really good, but every time a friend convinces me to visit a Chinese buffet I end up regretting it and wishing I had spent that $16-20 at a real Chinese restaurant. The food is generally poor quality and dry. What has your experiences at Chinese buffets been?
>>21802453they’re decent
Haven't been to one in years, but yea they suck and are for people who are going for quantity over quality. Try Dim Sum at a good Chinese place if you want a variety of food.
>>21802453it's quantity fo sho but you can concentrate on the shit you like the most

>>21802453>Ive never had a good chinese buffetyou must be young and only know post-covid world buffets.
>>21802453The only excellent buffet I’ve been to has been Indian food, all others are mid because the food isn’t suited to buffet style serving anyway.Personally i like them for the variety. I can’t get each little appetizer and portions of multiple entrees for $20 by ordering off the menu. It’s not the best version of any of them but my local buffets have some gems. Crab rangoons, a variety of dumplings and egg rolls, sesame chicken, mei fun, chow mein, fried shrimp and scallops. Never the best quality but i enjoy it and it’s fun!>>21802856Good point. so many restaurants have gone downhill
