I still don't get this, is it the bread? Seed oil bread? Is that the thing that makes it bad?

There actually isn't anything wrong with A burger, but fast food burgers are facsimiles of real burgers. It's not really meat, it's a slime slice with some addictive additives added. And the pickles and produce are the lowest quality they could get - browned lettuce, green tomatoes, and sour pickles. Add to that not one, but TWO doses of sugar sauce. So that fast food "burger" is really just a mess of bad calories and goop. And lets not forget, that burger comes with a 40oz cup of HFCS and a side of seed oil on potato strings. Getting you a DAY's worth of calories in one meal. (not joking, some value meals are 2k cal plus)

Making a burger yourself is perfectly fine and it will be healthier AND tastier. Fast food is optimized calorie density being delivered "cheaply" to your pie hole.

This 'seed oil' thing is fucking retarded. How much oil do you think is in bread? And just how poisonous do you think these oils are?? You should be much more concerned about the fries and the nuggets and anything else soaking in it if you're REALLY going to be afraid of it so much that you're avoiding bread. Sheesh. It's proven to be bullshit anyway: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seed_oil_misinformation
But if you're the kind of person who always rejects the world's accepted knowledge and chooses to buy into tiny conspiracy communities and their ideas we really can't help you.

I don't think many people really think burgers are inherently unhealthy. it's that burgers are usually associated with fast food where, yes, they are drenched in oil, and sugar, and preservatives, and usually don't actually have that many veggies. and on top of that, are typically served with a huge serving of fries and a massive sugary drink. people aren't saying *burgers* are unhealthy, they're saying eating at mcdonalds is unhealthy. I don't think anybody's going to get on your case for eating a homemade burger at a backyard grillout. well, the carbs from the bun aren't great for you, but people call excess carbs in all forms unhealthy, that's not unique to burgers.

People who sell food make profits on convincing people the cheapest sources of nutrition are magically bad.
Food cartels are right up there with banking, media, technology and entertainment. Everyone needs food.
Never listen to anything other people tell you over your own personal experience.

The two main sources of nutrition, the only other option being alcohol.

The only food healthier than potatoes is milk.
You are extremely dumb.

People never just stop at the burger, they also have a large order of fries and at least 2 refills of a 40oz soda.
If you ate the burger as a plate of food it would be a good meal, but you're eating a good 1500 calories in one sitting, most of it sugar water and carbs.

there is nothing wrong with eating burgers. there is something wrong with eating too many burgers in too short a time.
>>
>>21816014
This is true. the fast food burger isn't ideal and is probably less healthy than one made at home, but it's not a disaster either. The big gulp sodas are the worst thing you're likely to get at a fast food place.

the unhealthy part it's eating 10 of them in one sitting

purely from a calorie point,
soda > fries > burger
my grandpa justified drinking diet coke so he could indulge in the fries. I don't know if he was right, he died in a boat collision when I was 9.

It's literally the same foods. There is nothing in fast food meat but salt. There is nothing in fast food tomato or lettuce at all. American cheese is the same whether you buy it or McDonald's does. There's no special poison ingredient.

>The people that told me newborns need to.be vaccinated for a sexually transmitted disease, that eggs are unhealthy, that paper masks stop viruses, and made up the 6ft rule based on literally nothing (and later admitted it was bullshit), say seed oils are healthy!

That's nice.

And it's more than just seed oils in the bun, it's bromated flour, a bunch of sugar, and an obscene ammount of preservatives.
>>
>>21819544
It's really simple, they add sugar, and use several times more salt than needed,.because sugary and salty foods are addictive and you'll buy more of them more often.

They've literally done the research on how to make food addictive.

If you think all those separate ingredients are good, then you need to learn something about nutrition
White bread is bad for you in several ways
Most cheese is bad for you
Red meat is near the bottom of the list for health outcomes in most studies

People here talking about minor shit like preservatives, seed oils and a touch of sugar are clueless. Also the ones mentioning filler in beef. If anything the filler would make it healthier as it's usually a plant based food like oat and soy.

McDonalds cheese is “pasteurized process cheese”, only 60% real cheese
Bun:
>enriched flour (wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), water, sugar, yeast, soybean oil, and contains 2% or less of salt, wheat gluten, potato flour, vinegar, dextrose, corn starch, modified food starch, vegetable proteins (pea, potato, rice and/or faba bean), sunflower and/or canola oil, maltodextrin, natural flavors, and may contain one or more dough conditioners such as DATEM, ascorbic acid, mono and diglycerides, and enzymes
Other than that the mayo and other sauces are probably the most unhealthy.
>McDonald's sauces often contain added sugars and artificial stabilizers that are not present in homemade or standard mayonnaise, making them less healthy in comparison
>>
>>21815967
Fast food add tons of sugar and salt to make it more addictive. With a side of pure salt and oils.
>>
>>21815967
the sauce is full of sugar
the ketchup is full of sugar
the bun is enriched with sugar (if you are eating fast food)
the burger is paper thin (if you are eating fast food)

no one just eats one burger by itself, they eat it with fries and a drink, if you just eat the burger by itself it's not that bad

there is a guy who eats a big mac a day and his health is fine

>>21820493
also eat real baked bread for months and then have try a mcdonald burger bun or wonder bread on it's own, it taste like cake

A burger is a sinergy. Literally has SIN in it, it's bad for you. You can dissipate the sin by deconstructing it (+$20 + tip).

Answer me this, cooklet: Can there be a difference in quality between two tomatoes, or two pieces of cheese that were made by different processes, or two different buns if they are made from different ingredients?
>>
it's the soda and fries

I can't stand Elizabeth Olsen. Her acting is mediocre at best and she seems like a total cunt

>>21815996
I dont know a single place that adds filler to their beef. The only bad part of the burger is the buns.
