I am trying to get off breakfast cereal and want to start my day with a low glycemic meal.
I have been thinking about a nice salad but have never heard of one designed for breakfast. Is there such a thing as breakfast salad?

You are a powerful wizard, and whatever food you eat in the morning will magically turn into breakfast. Try it with anchovies if you don't believe me.
>>
>salad
just make beans
>>
I eat fruit salads in the summer but I'm pretty sure that's not low glycemic. I don't actually know, though.

I personally like to cook some eggs and have some sauerkraut (Bubbie's has a nice crunch, or some sautéed greens, or hell, even canned greens. Other than that, >>21816713 is right. Fuck what society and Big Agra tells you that you should have for breakfast. I assume you're going for low glycemic because you're a diabetic fatass, so why not just cook a couple of burger patties and call it a day?

To further riff on this theme, pico de gallo is a salad for all intents and purposes, and pairs really well with eggs and some sour cream. Maybe throw a few olives on top, or some hot pepper slices for spice.
Road to Wellville was kino, btw. Even if Bridget Fonda couldn't pay me to fingerbang her today.

How is a fruit salad not a salad? Are you retarded?
>>
Just make a cobb salad: it already consists of breakfast staples. Egg, ham, bacon, cheddar, and avocado on iceberg lettuce.

i'd make salad for dinner sometimes and make enough to have leftovers for breakfast the next day. i don't really know how you'd make a "breakfast" salad. i'd usually add some chopped boiled egg to it but that's as close to breakfast as it would get.

salads can be pretty enjoyable when you want something more filling if you add cheese, nuts, and egg. i'd do that with lots of whatever vegetables i wanted. for dressing honey mustard or something like a cesar dressing without the fish.

fruit salad with yogurt would probably be more commonly thought of as a breakfast salad, if you use berries and other low sugar fruits it would be low glycemic and you can still add nuts to make it a bit more filling if needed.

Isrealis can keep the fish, bleh, but I would be happy to wake up to delicious cucumber, fresh baked breads, thick yogurt, hot sauce. eggs, and lots of crisp vegetables.

Danish open faced sandwiches on that crazy moist wholegrain rye bread features alot of veggies, hard boiled eggs, fish and luncheon meat. It's kind of a lunchy breakfast thing. I like it on vacations that serve a lot of foreigners on the continental breakfast.

So cake is a salad?
>>
>>21816667
Well it depends. Do you eat salad for flavor or for nutrition and if so what's your balance? 30% taste 70% nutrition or 50/50 and the like? We're I to recommend an appropriate salad for the morning meal I would recommend it be grain heavy more akin to a porridge than a salad. Quinoa and wheat berries each offer different textures and flavors. A good dose of olive oil, cumin, pepper, cucumbers, I could see a nice Mediterranean salad of sorts for the morning.

bean salad

I actually did that for a while. My go to breakfast every day was iceberg lettuce, cheddar cheese, raw sunflower seeds, pepperoni slices, bacon bits, red onion slices, walnuts, and blue cheese dressing.

It was muy delicious

A lot of SE Asian countries have some kind of breakfast salad.
In Indonesia they have Gado Gado, which is eggs, fried tempeh, bean sprouts, cucumbers and other vegetables with a satay sauce. Some of the ingredients are cooked so it's not entirely a salad.
Som tam in Thailand is also good

>Some of the ingredients are cooked so it's not entirely a salad.
salad is often raw but it's not a requirement. e.g. potato salad, pasta salad

Look up how to make a salade niçoise. They're a bit finicky, but worth it. They'd make an excellent breakfast salad.
