It's fine but nothing special. The popularity is entirely from marketing, not quality.

If you're visiting New York you gotta go to Katz's it's the classic New York Jewish diner. Don't go to some other sandwich place and clog up the world with your obnoxious presence and desire to be in the New York of your favorite kinos, go to Katz's on your Lower Manhattan jaunt, see where the Friend's theme song was and go to the place where your favorite alternative music scene of the 60s-00s was you know "First rule is, the Laws of Germany, second rule is don't talk to commies, third rule is, be nice to mommy, fourth rule is eat Kosher Salami" then see the 9/11 memorial and Wall Street and go to the Statue of Liberty, walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and see Dumbo, a neighborhood named after a lovable elephant, get Pizza at a place that Dave Portnoy Rated and you'll have a great time, get all the New York photos you need and you won't bug the majority of people who off the clock are enjoying their own haunts.

>>21817647You're right about seeing all the tourist shit and not being a hipster about it, but waiting in a 1 hour line for a sandwich that's similar to most other places isn't worth it. There's lots of Jewish delis in New York. For me it's Kossar's.
