Found Japanese wagyu at the local Costco today.

If you can cook it, sure

If you enjoy ultra-marbled beef, yes. Though you need to enjoy it more like foie gras than a typical steak. You savour it with small portions around 4-6 ounces, not an 18 ounce hunk of meat.

it better make me have a prostate orgasm at that price
>>
>>21819320
not even remotely worth it. in my opinion this ultra fatty slop should cost much less than any normal cut of steak
>>
I've had wagyu quite a few times and it's good, but I don't think it's worth the premium price. It has quite a distinctly different flavour from regular beef, and with that I find it is kind of in it's own, different category. For me, a regular ribeye is tastier and more satisfying in every way. I've had wagyu steaks, including Kobe beef in Kobe, but by far the best wagyu I've eaten was cut ultra thin and dipped in broth/sauce. If it's your first time just get a normal sized steak.

my costco had it for 29.99 a lbs bet your butt i got one
>>
Would you like cook this cut at super low temp to let the fat melt a bit then blast it at the end?
>>
>>21819809
i think you would cut it down into individual steaks :)
>>
>>21819813
Yes, I guess so, duh on me. But even then super blast of heat on all sides or lower sustained?
>>
>>21819375
this. I was told not to eat a 16oz steak and I didn't listen. I was glad I shared it because I literally could not finish it and I could eat a 32oz ribeye by myself normally. It is extremely filling and rich like you wouldn't believe. Its worth it, just look up how to cook it so you dont fuck it up. High heat, not over open flame, 2 minutes each side. Only needs salt and pepper.

Then it was American Wagyu, and it does not even compare with Japanese, especially it its A5.
>>
>>21819830
no, it was not some SRF bs. it was imported a5.
>>

Too much fat; I probably wouldn't enjoy it, then I'd be pissed that so much money was wasted on something I didn't like.
