What are your favorite gins?
I've tried several and still find Tanqueray to be the best of them
>>
Tanqueray no. Ten
Dorothy Parker New York Gin
>>
>unaged clear spirit
the best is whatever is the cheapest.
>>
>>21823644
Gin is much different from vodka, they come with different mixes of botanicals
>>
>>21823644
nah cheap gin tastes like floor cleaner.
>>
the GOAT.
>>
>>21823635
Gin is gin, it doesn't matter where it comes from. The only thing that really matters is what they have infused into it.
So if they're using a normal infusion then it'll taste normal no matter what it costs.
Personally I like pink gins that have some added raspberry or strawberry.

You are an unintelligent soul.

>>21823659
this shit is going to be mixed in a drink and drowned with lime juice, who the hell cares what 11 herbs and spices was used. Only absolute niggers drink gin neat.

Stop trying to justify your ungodly spending habits in an attempt to look cultured, alchies.
>>
>>21823665
Oh, you're THAT schizo. Seething at the superior genetics of ethanol consumers as usual. You must be native american ir something.
>>
bombay sapphire for me
>>
Beefeater is my usual go-to
It easily outclasses Tanqueray
>>
>>21823635
Gin smells like paint thinner

Boodles. If it was good enough for Winston Churchill, it's good enough for me.

i hate gin and tequila drinkers
it isn't personal but i don't want essence of random plant at the bar
when someone buys me a shot it is 100% something i don't want to drink
there aren't agave or juniper where i live and i certainly don't want to drink those regionally acceptable flavors. i'll drink and eat potatoes and wheat but why on god's green earth would i want to start chewing on juniper trees and horking down agave

someone could, however, recommend a gin that doesn't taste like the mainstream ones and isn't overpowering with tree tea flavor. i would probably enjoy it
i just want to be drunk
>>
>>21823749
Bombay Sapphire is nice and citrusy
>>
>>21823644
That's the rule for vodka and only vodka. Different gins have completely different botanicals
>>
>>21823755
is that the blue one? i think i tried that
i don't want the other flavors of the booze to be overpowering, i'd prefer the bartender makes a drink that i like with something more neutral
i recognize people like different drinks and it is a me problem if i don't like it but it would be nice to find one tequila or gin that i like. they make me gag
i don't want to be stuck with neutral drinks my whole life, i think i am missing out
>>
>>21823773
Get a gin and tonic
The botanic flavor of the gin is nicely countered by the citrusy tonic. Both are kinda gross on their own, but combined are excellent.
>>
>>21823749
american gins are lighter on the juniper and generally more pleasant to sip neat.
avoid anything with "london dry" on the label.

>>21823773
... but it sounds like the only thing you want to drink is straight paint thinner so stick to vodka and everclear i guess?
>>
>>21823635
JCB gin is probably the best I've had. Very balanced and even good to sip straight.
>>
>>21823635
tanqueray or new amsterdam
don't like the taste of bombay
beef eater tastes like tanqueray or new amsterdam but it's more expensive
>>
>>21823749
>when someone buys me a shot it is 100% something i don't want to drink

It's not how either of those or anything in general ought to be drank. You wouldn't object to a Paloma, or a Collins. Of course mid-well liquor that already isn't to your palate's liking will be ass. Water is wet.
>>
>>21823749
jap gins like roku and etsu are very citrusy
>>
>>21823757
I drink vodka neat and even there there's a definite taste difference between the ones produced traditionally and the ones that are just industrial ethanol in water.
>>
>>21823946
water makes things wet, but fire is hot
>>
litre o' gin and a thirty pack

>>
>>21823635
I like Seagrams.
>>
anybody tried monkey 47?
>>
>>21825270
I would but I'm racist
>>
>>21823677
it smells like pine needles when it's good/strong. does your nose work right? what's your vaxxx status?
>>21823749
just drink the shot you fucking pussy
>>21824916
one of my go-to's
>>
>>21823635
Hendrick's original is #1 for me. I can drink it all day (and have).
Black Fox Cucumber and Roku honourable mentions.
Bombay Sapphire is undrinkable for me.

>>21823658
>So if they're using a normal infusion then it'll taste normal no matter what it costs.
What the fuck is a "normal infusion"? Just because they all contain juniper doesn't mean they all taste the same.
>>
I once bought a bottle of Hendrick's Flora Adora that was on sale.
It was fucking awful, like drinking potpourri air freshener. I had to force myself to finish it.
>>
>>21823635
I haven't been drinking gin long, mostly a whiskey & rum drinker, but I've come around to it recently. Don't know if it's supposed to be particularly good or not, but I like this stuff.
>>
I liked sipsmith the best
>>
>>21823749
juniper/cedar trees are fragrant treasures all over the world.
>>
Why yes, I am a weeb, how could you tell?
>>
>>21823773
Gin is basically just vodka flavored with grass, so just ask for vodka in a cocktail instead.
>>
>>21825321
Just the normal type of gin infusion. Nothing special or unusual.
>>
>>21823673
this. beefeater is good enough to drink straight.
>>
I tried sipping gins but there's almost no development, it gets boring quickly.
>>
>>21823635

The Botanist has been my favourite for quite a while now.
>>
>>21823812
>beef eater tastes like tanqueray or new amsterdam but it's more expensive
interesting, it's cheaper than tanqueray over here
>>
>>21825997
Yes it's quite easy. Just inbreed a few generations and you're there.
>>
>>21823673
A man of refined taste.
Beefeater for the daily driver
Hendricks for the fancy
Sipsmith vjop when the rest ain't hitting anymore
>>
>>21823644
why are brown drinkers so arrogant ?
>>
>>21823635
call me a weeb but roku is very nice. 6 O'Clock is great but they're a bunch of commies
>>
>>21823635
someone got wax cleaner in my vodka
>>
>>21823635
Greenalls. I used to drink a litre a night with lemonade.
