What makes Texas Roadhouse the highest quality restaurant chain?
pre-covid they would bring you an entire bucket of peanuts to eat while you waited for your food.Now they'll either bring you a little tiny packet of airplane peanuts, or nothing at all. They lost a lot of respect in my eyes for this.

Texas Roadhouse is the epitome of sysco slop. I hate when they seat you and you can look into the kitchen while they are microwaving your meal.
I'm glad they got rid of the peanuts. The few times I went I hated stepping all over peanut shells.

>>21828761Arguable I think. I'm not a big fan of one or the other. Texas Roadhouse has a deliberately more downscale atmosphere but all chain restaurants seem pretty shabby these days. The last time I went to one, btw, was to decompress within a week of a memorably bad meal at a much more expensive local steakhouse, and they did great. A medium-rare or medium USDA choice ribeye at a chain steakhouse is one of the better casual dining meals you can get. (The casual dining pinnacle: oysters on the half shell and a steamed whole lobster at Red Lobster with a split of sparkling wine, but they don't do oysters anymore)
