have ANY of these chocolate gift box brands held up over the years? Quality Street and Pot of Gold are both such garbage now.
They've always been garbage. The only reason you remember otherwise is because you were a kid and didn't know any better.
>name your brand "quality">it lacks qualityThey can't keep getting away with it
>>21829452QUALITY street
>>21829448>They've always been garbage.and yet they've gotten worse
>>21829461it's now clearly a fent'd up street
>>21829448I dunno man I don't think it was always this bad
Nestle anything has definitely gotten worse. I used to love their instant coffee when I was a wagie but it's easily the worst one now.
>>21829445>Gump: life is like a box of chocolate.don't these fancy crap always have awful flavours?
>>21829495usually yeah, they're mostly bought as gifts especially seasonal ones so the quality is going to be poor. it's basically the chocolate version of this garbage
>>21829476Geez, Forrest Gump 2026 is grim:"Life is like a box of chocolates, you're going to get a lot of plastic filler"
>>21829497These made great repurposed storage tins
>>21829448>They've always been garbage. It's been proven that the modern version has fewer pieces, and the ingredient quality is lower.
>>21829445I bought some of these because they were 3.49 instead of 7.99. It's tragic because they were alright. Now they're neh
>>21829445They've taken all the variety out of the chocolates due to sensitive babies being allergic or some shit. Plus they are being cheap, the boxes are getting smaller and smaller each year to the point that you have to get two now. Might as well just raise the price and give us a bigger box and save on plastic waste.
>>21829445More like quality shit
>>21829448Not saying they were premium quality but the "you were just a kid" is a weak argument for anything in general, almost always proven false. The new shit has palm oil to decrease the cost, that puts on the same level as discount store tier chocolate.
>>21829476When I was a kid there would've been at least 30 in that box and no plastic form. When I was middle-aged there would have been 20 separated by a plastic form. Now there's 12 and you can see they've made the form such that 8 or 10 is the next step.
>>21829746they're pretty shit at that too since they're not actually airtight and dent easily
Megacorporations like Nestle and Mondalez ruin everything with endless enshittification and shrinkflation. Fucking inhuman parasites.I recently discovered Mondalez bought Mirabell and kiked and zogged their entire catalog to death. I was mad as fuck
