winter storm bros, what are you eating in these cold days? I had some left over tomato soup and a can of octopus served over rice
>>21850355Went to Wendy's today and got some extra chili for dinner. About to heat that shit up

>>21850355i wore shorts and a t-shirt to the store today, living in the southwest is pretty sick
NJ here, things are going to suck but the northeast is generally prepared for this kind of thing. Temperatures are getting really cold for my area, dipping close to 0F (-17C) but got a backup generator and plenty of food. Picked up some Chinese to go at 99 ranch so had kung po chicken and a lamb dish.
>>21850355Gross
>>21850605It's called red eye chili and very common in the south
>>21850679>very common in the southno it isnt
>>21850697I think he's right. I heard of red eyed chili and biscuits for truck drivers in the south. The sauce is made with coffee grounds and the red eyed truckers who been driving all night eat it as a pick me upper for breakfast.
>>21850602You are a retard just adding random shit for no reason. You have no idea what you are doing. You lack even the most basic understanding of how different flavors compliment each other. You are either dirt poor or brown/black.
>>21850679No. Not common at all and not real chili. I'm sure it's popular in your trailer park but nowhere else.
>>21850702But what they are talking about is not actually red eye chili. It's like a shitty Mexican version and not what most people mean when they talk about red eye chili.
>>21850605It's pretty traditional in Texas chili, which, judging from the abundance of chiles, the choice of carne, and lack of frijoles is apparently what >>21850602is making.>>21850760>nooo you aren't supposed to add chilis and carne to chili con carnebold theory there, muhammed.
>>21850355>canned octopusWhy
>>21850760What is wrong, anon? What would you change?
>>21850355I had a frozen pepperoni pizza and spicy instant noodles
I made cinnamon rolls last night, but I got high as fuck and ate them all. Big regrets today on that, but goddamn are they good. Substituted the butter in the dough for bacon fat, and made the glaze with bacon fat and maple extract. It's like if a maple bacon doughnut was a cinnamon roll. I might even put bacon in the filling when I make them again.
>>21850355Got to my grocery store right before they closed for the storm. First time I've seen them close early ever. They were even open on Christmas and New Year's. Got a chicken pot pie, some battered fish. Also some leftover pasta I made yesterday. Not gonna eat it all, but it's nice to have options. Currently munching on a nong shim ramyun.
>>21850355I made a tortilla pizza with fontina and parm and diced meatball. Turned out great.
>>21851742It looks like and open faced, beef and cum quesadilla
>>21851830Your English is pretty rickety there, bud.
>>21851832Says the guy eating beef cumaduilla.
>>21850355STORM'S OVER. Why did you all bother to "stock up" or with the special food prep? It's already over. You all look like idiots.
>>21852704I still can’t drive anywhere because the roads haven’t been plowed though.
>>21850355Ordering pizza to make delivery drivers put their lives at risk for poverty wages and low tips
>>21852704Let me guess, you have no food in your house that can last you beyond a week
>>21850602>6 CaliforniasGoddamn anon how big is your chili pot? And where did you get 5 other Californias from? I thought there was only one
>>21850355Made some lentils tomato soup with ham and sausages.Thursday i have a lot of cheese delivered i will make gratin de pâtes.
>>21850355checked>>21850555trips of truthCostco sells chili which is pretty much the same as Wendy's offering except with more meat and fewer different types of beans. I buy tubs of that pretty regularly. That's what I ate last night, and will have another couple of meals of it later this week. Tonight I'll be making some fried eggs and sausage, because I haven't been eating many eggs for a while now and realized I miss them. Also, President Trump has brought egg prices down to $1/dozen again! All it took was ending the Biden era policy of slaughtering every fucking chicken within a mile of any bird that sneezed due to "bird flu".And gasoline was down to $2.50/gal last week, and has stayed steady below $3/gal for a month now -- well below the Biden era average of $3.22/gal (and I'm in a high-tax state, so it's even more insanely cheap for us than it would be to some lucky Oklahoman). We are so back, my MAGA brethren.
