I think enough time has passed, can we get it back? Any estimates of how much a supersized meal would be in 2026?
>>21852017>Any estimates of how much a supersized meal would be in 2026?A lot
Supersize isn't coming back, at least not with that name. The brand risk gremlin is too strong. BUT I could see a sneaky "XL", "Max", or "Big Boy Mode" rebrand once everyone collectively forgets 2004. If it did exist in 2026, I'm guessing $14-$18 easy for fries + drink alone, because inflation eats like a chungus. So yeah: spiritually possible, legally allergic, financially unhinged.
>>21852017probably about $18might as well go to Five Guys then
>>21852017the fucking large meals are massive as is.
>>21852040Not really, the fries are the most filling thing
>>21852017My wife was horrified when I showed her having 2 sausage and egg McMuffins was lower calorie than one S&E McMuffin and a hash brown. She loves them hash browns.
>>21852017Shit I haven't had McDonald's since 2006. They don't have super sizes anymore?
>>21852108try to keep up
>>21852076fatass
>>21852017Lmao never. Why would they? Migapedes are happy eating goyslop for N times the price of whatever other goyslop McSlop cranking out these days.
>>21852108Fake "documentary" with a constantly drunk alcoholic destrying his body by drinking and blaming the food.
>>21852108It was phased out in 2004, lying piece of shit.
>>21852145This it was a hit piece
Whenever I guy I ask them to Ronald-size it usually gets a laugh ever now and then it results in 5+ minutes or so of confusion/silence before someone comes back and tells me that isn’t a thing or they can’t find it on the register
>>21852159Maybe in your third-world country. I was still buying Super-sized meals in 2006.
I remember super sizing was only worth it for the drinks. They didn't add a whole lot to the fries and the sandwiches were never super sized. Back in then the only practical reason to ever get a super sized meal would be for monopoly game pieces which were only on the super sized containers (except the burgers).
>>21852017guh i hecking hope so i need this in my life
>>21852017That's fairly small amount of McDonald's for an average sized person, I'd say?
>>21852385Pretty much, esp with a diet drink or water
>>21852017mcdonalds here have a basket of fries. probably the same amount as supersize
>>21852021Thanks ChatGPT
>>21852551Should they call it a Basket-sized Meal, then? I mean, it was just the fries that were super size.
Why not just buy two small orders of fries and two cheeseburgers?
>>21852734Untersize me?
I think a cool idea would be letting you "undersize" meal by getting NO fries or soda and they reduce the cost of the meal appropriately
>>21852923You're allowed to order sandwiches, fries, nuggets, etc individually without ordering the "meal."
>>21852734That's literally what a #2 used to be, two cheesburgers with fries and drink, but even then I still want it super sized.
>>21852017>Any estimates of how much a supersized meal would be in 2026?$27.51
>>21852295>Back in then the only practical reason to ever get a super sized meal would be for monopoly game pieces which were only on the super sized containers (except the burgers).Don't know about other countries but in the US, by law, they must give you free contest pieces on request at no cost. Otherwise it is considered gambling, which even if it is legal in that state, requires all manner of licensing fast food restaurants don't want to deal with for a silly contest.
>>21852017The actual consumption items for fries and soft drinks are a minor part of the cost. The labor, the containers and general overhead of the building dwarfs the cost of the potato slivers and fizzy HFCS water. The super size costs the company virtually nothing over the cost of the smaller size. As a result, they don't have to charge very much more for it to still be profitable. Given how much consumers are complaining about fast food not being a good value anymore, super size portions would be a way of restoring the sense of getting a good bang for the buck. The only risk, beyond health advocates, would be that people might start sharing super size meals instead of purchasing a meal for each of them.
>>21852931Sounds like that anon wants to retain the combo meal price savings when ordering à la carte. Given the large gap between the two in some places, it's an understandable, but ultimately fruitless, desire. One of most egregious examples is the Taco Bell Supreme Luxe Box, where the combo is only eleven cents more expensive than the main item (chicken chalupa) by itself. Those extra eleven cents gets you a medium drink, a beefy five layer burrito, a taco, and cinnamon twists.
>>21852251cut him some slack. a super-sized meal was probably worth 3/4 of his entire salary in his country
>>21852017>Any estimates of how much a supersized meal would be in 2026?The $5.50 McDouble meal fills me up
>>21852145Cope, the alcohol destroys the toxins and bad nutrients in the McDonald's slop and helped him live longer
