My buddy's dad lost 60 lbs, my mom lost 35 (and she has a gluten intolerance and was actually doing great). The only downside for me is that at a certain point, my mouth just felt like an oil slick no matter how much I brushed or whatever.If I ever did it again, I'd try to add in more low carb vegetables and shit where possible. But instead I just CICO and exercise when I need to shed some lbs.
