Just looking at 24 oz cans of alcopop I can recall the smell of my breath, the hangover, the hollow feeling after a night of getting hammered.I do not miss living like that. I never started the night with that disgusting, sugary shit; I was a vodka man. But come 6 a.m. when I was still boozing and out of booze, I'd head to the store for a couple, three of those fuckers. It would just make things worse in the end. There's something about that next morning, you can smell the decay of your own muscle tissue as the alcohol slowly eats you away. I could never see it like this while I was in the depths of my addiction. I wish I could bestow it upon all of you. 8 years sober. Never again.
