Mince and mirepoix are ready.

What are you cooking /ck/?

I hope you're adding some kind of sauce to that, because it looks awfully unappealing.

This one became Savoury Mince.

Brown beef mince.

Sweat down mirepoix then add in to mince. (This is where the photo is taken).

Combine well.

Add butter, flour, and curry powder, and cook off.

Add beef stock, worchestershire sauce and BBQ sauce.

Combine, check for seasoning.

Add peas and corn kernels.

Simmer for 45 minutes.

Serve with boiled potatoes and toast.

It's a great comfort meal with very little effort required.

But forget about what I'm cooking. I want to hear what everyone else would cook with the universal base of mince with diced onions, carrot and celery.

I roasted a chicken and made some mashed rutabagas which I had with giblet gravy, and I used the chicken drippings to fry some shredded green cabbage with tomatoes. It was all delicious. Last night I made steamed cabbage rolls and teriyaki sauce for the first time.

That mince looks anemic who taught you to fry mince you worthless goddamn cocksucker
>>
>>21917131
I didn't have the energy to brown in batches so yep, it's steamed instead of getting a good Maillard reaction.
Honestly I find the dish nicer with the lighter flavour.
Thank you for contributing though <3

Pork belly, courgettes and rice.

I'd replace the carrots with peppers and make some spanish rice with beef and bacon, so taco spices and roast tomatoes and hatch chiles.

Good for you.

It was a recipe I got from my grandparents, they made it when they owned a motel. Apparently it was always popular as a breakfast option!

Pajeet detected. You have no idea how to cook. Toddler tier attempt at cooking.
>>

NTA but this sounds solid, I think your beef is a little less browned than is ideal though. If you're a bong and it's supermarket mince it helps to start it at a really high temperature to get rid of the excess water most meat is injected with then move on to browning.
>>
BROWN
THE
FUCKING
MEAT
AND DO IT SEPARATELY
YOU COOKLET!!!!
>>
>>21917086
What is this supposed to be exactly?
>>
>>21917782
>separately
Is it really necessary? You can't just use maximum heat? (I only have one of those dumdum electric hobs not gas)

I think you are projecting if you think that Bong mince is filled with injected water.

>Americans are literally the only English speakers who call minced meat ‘ground’
>one of them gets enraged when people don’t use their retarded parochial neologism
‘Grinding’ is what you do to wheat to make flour. Stick it between two flat rotating stones. ‘Mincing’ is when you chop something super fine, normally using a ‘mincer’. Take a chill pill, Cletus.
