Don't fuck with the king
>>
I eat two tins of sardines in olive oil, and one tin of smoked oysters per week for health reasons. I despise them. Hoping I eventually start to enjoy them.

the king best stop charging $4 a tin then. For now I'll eat deenz out my queen's ass, pic related.
>>
>>21917279
I can't find them anywhere, not the EVOO tins at least. I finally found a shop selling them in water snd I bought them all. They're not as good but they sure beat the Chicken of the Sea and other value brands I have been eating the past couple months

I was really excited to try these when i saw them at my local shop. Kinda mushy and gross desu i was hugely disappointed. did i just get a bad can?
>>
>>21917492
They should be tender but not mushy. They aren't as hearty as the bigger sardines and they're best eaten as-is or lightly tossed in a marinade.

Do you guys eat the bones? Feels too weird for me. I haven't tried it.
>>
>>21917495
the spine? it has a nice soft texture. plus i imagine it contains a lot of the good nutrients.
>>
>>21917495
The brislings have such tiny, brittle bones you don't even notice them. The bigger ones yeah I usually remove the spines.
>>

Get the boneless skinless KO in regular olive oil they’re much more firm although not nearly as flavorful. Those ones will come with 3-4 filets of larger species deenz

Banished from /deenz/

I stopped eating deenz because my local grocery store stopped packing 99 cent in house brands :( Now the cheapest option is fucking €2.85 or something with fucking tomato sauce because the olive oil ones are always sold out grrr!!! Maybe I should look in to ordering them online in bulk from some Chinese website or something.

I like to feed a cat that lives in my alleyway and sometimes I'll crack a can of 'oscars and share it with him if I'm out of normal cat treats and feeling philanthropic. Only the ones saturated in water

Nah it's transparent aluminum
But even if it was plastic it doesn't matter.
>>
>>21919906
That sucks. It’s too bad international shipping is so expensive now otherwise I’d offer to send some.

>>21920046
Comfy

So i tried smoked oysters and they did have the green stuff in it lol. They were good but it was constantly on the back of my mind. Don't think I'll eat them again.

Anyone Screencast the recipe some guy shared on here with deenz and eggs? I'll check the catalog tomorrow if no one remembers. I just can't be bothered right now.
>>
Has anyone here taken a can of sardines and just mashed the crap out of them with a fork? How does a sardine sandwich stack up against a tuna fish sandwich?

it's disrespectful to the fish if you don't
>>
>>21917495
if you don't like the texture, just get boneless you dumb picky bitch
>>
>>21920302
I mash deenz and then mix them with a sauce when I eat them with rice. I don’t think I’ve done a sardine salad sandwich yet but I’m sure it’s fine
