Don't you just love that cheap trashy grocery store bread? Paragraph of ingredients but damn it's good.

>>21922566My local grocery store has bread with his flour water salt yeast.
>>21922566I remember when these were $1
>>21922595Whose flour, water, salt, and yeast?

When I go to America, it's kind of hard to find loaves of bread I like. Do you guys tend to get it at bakeries if you want something nice?
>>21922861Bakeries aren't plentiful here. Most people make do with what the grocery store has. We aren't traditional because we've barely been around long enough to develop traditions
>>21923056That's a shame.>We aren't traditional because we've barely been around long enough to develop traditionsYou guys have some good culinary traditions that are maybe a little harder for you to see because you're immersed in them.>Coffee>Burgers and dogs>BarbecueYou guys do well in these categories. I find sometimes the basics are lacking, sure, but you do well in some areas too, same as most countries.
>>21923072BBQ is where we shine, I'll give you that. Its style is completely unique to america
>>21922861Whole Foods is pretty much the only grocery store with good bread here. Aldi has "real" bread (only flour water salt and yeast) too but theirs is not very good. It sucks but it is what it is.
>>21923099>Whole FoodsThanks for the tip. I hadn't tried there yet.
>>21922861Walmart sells real bread. Yeah I can hear the /ck/ screeching over the internet. It's just fucking bread.
>>21922566True. I know it's full of sneed oils and goychems to turn me fat and retarded but it IS nice that I can buy a loaf of bread and it lasts a week and a half before going stale/moldy.
>>21923344I'll only screech if you call it goodAll of it's real
