Why does this place exist? What kind of subhuman voluntarily goes to this place? The whole point of fast food is to take a concept, and mass produce it around the country/world. However there are more Chinese takeout places in America than McDonalds locations. The problem has been solved. Yet retards still eat at Panda Express. Why?
white middle class people who think they're too good for regular chinese places which are deemed as dirty and ethnic. panda express is the sanitized and bleached version of chinese owned american chinese food.
>>21943323panda express chow mein is closer to French fries than actual chow mein, that should be more than enough of a reason to eat here
>>21943352I remember as a kid I thought Chinese takeout was some crazy ethnic food. Then one day I opened a wonton and realized it's just fried tortellini and then realized the lo mein was spaghetti and I had a panic attack
>>21943323Fort Wayne, Indiana is city surrounded by tiny Midwest villages that have nothing but a McDonald’s and maybe a Taco Bell. Those villagers drive up to Fort Wayne every weekend to get a glimpse of the city life, and the first place they go is Panda Express because it’s premium exotic food that they don’t have in their villages. The Panda Express lines stretch out into parking lots of other businesses. They just can’t keep up with the Hoosier demand.
>>21943328>Chinese restaurant exists>gets mad at white people unwell
@21943328>regular chinese places which are deemed as dirty and ethnicThis doesn't happen, no one says this. Consider suicide . (You) denied
It exists because it tastes good and you know what you're getting. Local chinese places are not always good, and because there is so many of them its a pain to figure out which one is good for which dishes. Not everyone wants to take the time to figure out which local chinese place is the best, if it even exists near them.
>>21943323idk i think they are an ok charity but i also like pandas so maybe im biased
>>21943392For me, the shittier the inside of Chinese take out places look, the better the food tastes. Not joking either. I've been going to the same dump of a Chinese takeout once a month for 20 years and it's great every time. Diarrhea the next day is just a coincidence.
>>21943323It's significantly cheaper than chinese restaurants dollars-to-ounces, it's substantially cleaner than chinese restaurants (60% of those places shouldn't be in business), it's faster than chinese restaurants, and you don't have to struggle with ESL to get an order in or picked up.It's also a known quantity, you don't have to fish around locally with dozens sketchy FOBs to try to find something that meets the above criteria. You know exactly what you're getting at every Panda Express across the country. Why was this not immediately obvious to you from the start?
Panda express exists for the same reason Olive Garden exists: to bring very westernized ethnic food into parts of the midwest that have no real ethnic food.
>>21943323It’s the only chain that beat the Chinese govt sponsored slop colonies at their own game. It got popular by using mall food court as their initial expansion strategy.
>>21943946I have a theory that there was some special method that only mall food court owners were given on how to make the best bourbon chicken. I have never had as good of bourbon chicken in regular chinese stores, if they even have it. I remember in all the malls here, the workers always would offer free bourbon chicken samples because they knew they'd get you hooked
>>21943323Because I can eat there cheaply relatively speaking, and be able to count calories. A 2 entree plate is $6 when the dodgers win, that’s like 2 whole meals with good macros. You don’t know what you’re getting nutritionally speaking from a local joint.
>>21943948Yea I don't know how they did it. I've tried looking up "mall food court bourbon chicken" recipes and have gotten close but it wasn't the same. Closest I got was using this bottled "Bourbon Sauce" slop I got from Sam's Club, funny enough.
>>21943323from the looks of it, the equivalent of soul food. Sugary syrup coated fried meat cubes, i mean you know what you signed up for. Sounds indulgent and goodt. Gook
It's weirdly popular with Japanese tourists
>>21943323Not only did my nearest Chinese food place get busted for storing food literally outside in the alleyway, but most of the nearby places have gone so insane with the amount of filler in there that it's not worth it for the dramatic jump in price, either.Like, if I get orange chicken from one of my takeaway places, it's going to be 70% water chestnuts, baby corn, and snap peas. And it's not like I don't like veggies, but I'm ordering orange chicken, not veggies in orange sauce with 5 pieces of chicken. Panda at least comes through with a consistent product. It's not like I eat here often though. Like other anons have said, probably only something most people are eating in a mall food court or on their lunch break with limited options.
>>21943323the panda near me is packed with working class SEA women every time I go there (San Diego)the kung pao is acceptable and the price is right
I was visiting LA from Canada and tried Panda Express because it was next to my hotel. I got like a lunch combo or whatever with rice and two other items, but the girl working gave me a whole bunch of extra shit. I asked her what was up she said “it’s gross” so I just took her word and free extra food and ate it in my hotel room. It was in fact really gross but I still ate it
>>21943352lol wut? It’s like 75% cabbage French fries =\= cabbage
>>21943531all the local Chinese places near me have the exact same food with the exact same looking menu and I don't know why
>>21943384How tf can people go to Panda Express more than once? After you eat you think this is pretty good but not good enough to ever buy again.Ffs Walmart Deli's Gen Tao absolutely MOGS
>>21944323That's literally, NOT figuratively, every Chinese takeout
>>21943323I just hit up my local chinese place but there is a panda express in town, what is worth getting there?
>>21943323It tastes good just like americanized chinese takeout tastes good just like traditional chinese food tastes good. All 3 taste good and they all scratch a different itch.>the whole point of fast food isTo be fast, dumbass. You can on a whim get in a drive thru at panda express and have a meal in 5 minutes or less without calling ahead, whereas chinese takeout takes longer and is typically not accessible through a drive thru.
>>21943323>>21943328kek 3rdies are seething
>imagine if you could get the chinese food from the food court in the Mall but you don't have to go into the mallgenius business idea
>>21945514they're right doe. panda express is to chinese cuisine as taco bell is to mexican cuisine
>>21943323So young white men can get $100k/yr jobs managing a franchise
>>21943323Their orange chicken is great and has a flavor you can't get at any other Chinese restaurants. It's like saying why eat at Taco bell since Mexican restaurants are everywhere.
>>21943323A million years ago Panda Express was actually a good deal if you got the teriyaki chicken (no glaze please, thanks) with the mixed steamed vegetables on the side (the cabbage, zucchini, broccoli, carrot, cauliflower mix) and it was stuffed so full the container barely closed. i would always eat that for 2 meals. Bet it isnt like that anymore tho :(>picrel
>>21944290based wagie autist flirting with you in chaotic ways
>>21943323I thought my local mall would still have its Panda Express. Nope. They've moved to standalone locations like the other fast food joints.
Why haven’t they expanded more yet? Still none near me.
Panda Express is aiding the NWO!This is startling news. Everyday the NWO comes closer to reaching their goal. After numerous attempts to find a lead on the NWO's plans I recently discovered that the restaurant chain Panda Express is aiding them in their attempt for global domination.July 27, 2011 11:45 am. Arrived at apartmentI had just gotten back from class and was feeling very hungry. I don't usually go out to eat but today was a good day as I had found out that my favorite kind of pop-tarts Wild Berry were being sold at the local grocery store. I could never find them before now and I'm doing exceptionally well in my classes. So why not celebrate with a great meal? There are many restaurants close to my apartment but Panda Express seemed the most appetizing because I love chinese food and I had never eaten there before.11:51 am Arriving at Panda ExpressI walk in and was surprised how clean it was and how spacious everything seemed. I was hoping for an all out buffet but was severely disappointed at the "Subway" type of line they had set up. Whatever. As long as the food is good. As I get closer the food keeps looking more and more disgusting. It's ok never judge a book by it's cover.11:53 amI order the main dish and two entrays (or whatever). As I get towards the end of the line I was disappointed at the "look" of the food and felt robbed when I payed $8 for it. As I took my cup to fill it up with a drink they didn't have anything except soda. I quit drinking soda and they didn't even have WATER! So I stuck with their ****** iced tea.The food was god awful. It felt like it was tearing a whole through my stomach. I ate a little more to at least get my money's worth and was surprised that there were a decent amount of people showing up to eat this crappy food. Sure, people have their opinions but damn that was bad.[1/2]
>>2194558111:54 amJust as I'm about to leave I see two well dressed guys enter. They were both wearing black suits, one was wearing sunglasses the other wasn't. They went directly to the back and I see the women at the register and another follow them. I hear a bunch of shouting but I can't make out anything except a man's voice and the two women yelling at them. After a few minutes the men leave and the two women looked startled like they had seen a ghost. There could be many theories to this but only one makes the most sense. Panda is aiding the NWO. I think Panda puts something in their food to make people coming back. Me, I'm too strong willed and strong minded. Even Jedi Mind tricks can't work on me. Their food is awful and people keep coming back! It's the only logical answer! Also, the two men in suits are also fishy. I'll have to investigate. I need a team...to help me fight the NWO. We'll have meetings on this board about our findings. We must stop the NWO! Someone has to! Even if I have to do this alone. Who's with me!?I plan to investigate Panda tomorrow. I'll post my findings.[2/2]

>>21943323Terayaki Chicken, Broccoli Beef and steamed rice a decent choice compared to McDonald's Taco Bell or other fast foods
>>21943323>Why does this place exist?for starbies friends to go get some chicken and mushrooms, girl!
>>21943323Why is every thread on this fucking board food snobs bitching?
>>21943531Exactly, its perfectly fine. Same with Leanne chin. Usually I choose these places because my preferred place is closed and I'm not in the mood to toll the dice, since most chinese restaurants are closed one day a week. They are also really good deals, especially feeding a lot of people with takeout. I think panda express is the best non pizza deal in fast food in terms of calories/dollar, or at least it was a year ago.
>>21943323>Good Chinese takeout -consistently good quality food-authentic ingredients-clean, hygienic restaurants which are run by the top 0.01% of Chinese chefs-restaurants are RARE>Mediocre Chinese takeout-the food is sometimes good, sometimes bland, sometimes awful-usually won't get you sick-many half-assed preparations, lack of authentic ingredients-kitchen hygiene FAIR to OK, with random health department call-outs whenever they inspect, like raw meat stored in a tray on the floor under the work station or fewer than five cockroaches -restaurants are COMMON>Bad Chinese takeout-the food is often bad-random, weird ways the food is bad, like the sauce tastes like metal because it was prepared in an unseasoned wok-kitchen is full of cockroaches and coronavirus-good chance of you getting sick if you eat there-restaurants are RARE, but you sometimes can't tell it apart from the mediocre ones until you eat there>Panda Express-food is CONSISTENT - it always tastes the same -food can be a little bland and inauthentic, but often can be amended with some soy sauce for improvement-kitchen hygiene is VERY GOOD to EXCELLENT - always passes health department checks-food is already prepped and they have drive thrus, which are conveneientNeed I say more?
>>21943987They probably like it for the same reason we do, its a known. They have panda express in Japan.>>21945576I just saw a massive one today
You can say that about any fast food restaurant, dumbass. Why do orientals always seethe about Panda Express yet eat McDonald's and Chipotle and play pokemon cards at Quickly?
>>21943323Better than current day pei Wei Tbh most Chinese food in San Antonio is disgusting slop and the Chinese takeout is so pricey. If you want the the standard fare might as well get it from panda.I just want a general or king pao chicken that is actually spicy and not sweet
This thread makes me appreciate living in metro NYC. The sheer number of Chinese restaurants and takeout joints around here keeps the competition high enough that bad restaurants don't survive long.
>>21943328>white middle class people whoNoticed less than A sanitation rating consistently over the course of decades, and now Subcontinent worthy gutter oil, 'meat sweetening', and food safety practices with the benefit of internet journalism.
>>21947220I ain't tryna pay $24 for pork fried rice dog
>>21943899"westernized ethnic food" when talking about italian fooditaly is western you retardand everyone is ethnicgod i fucking hate americans
>>21943328>white middle class people who think they're too good for regular chinese places which are deemed as dirty and ethnic.Basically nobody thinks like this btw, very weird for you to make up.
>>21943323They are very cleanly as far as restaurants go and I am far less worried about cross contamination there then some random place, which I do not eat our nearly at all enough to vet out Also very few other places have black pepper chicken the goat dish at these restaurants
>>21943323It's for lunch when you don't have time for anything. And it's just fine.
>>21947605>I ain't tryna pay $24 for pork fried rice dogFunny you think that. The local Chinese places are cheaper than Panda Express. Lunch specials generally run around $9.50.
>>21943323Been here once. Got some soggy rice and some rock hard broccoli stalks.
>>21949117when I went the chow mein was as dry as the surface of the sun
>>21948995My best local place is definitely not cheaper. It's 13 dollars for the fried rice special compared to 11 something at panda. But it's worth paying for because the local place is amazing and doesn't drown it in grease. When I get panda there is always a huge puddle of grease at the bottom of the container. Their fried rice and chow main is just dripping with oil it's disgusting.
