>I flew potatoes on Expedition 72 for my space garden, an activity I did in my off-duty time. This is an early purple potato, complete with spot of hook Velcro to anchor it in my improvised grow light terrarium.

>Potatoes are one of the most efficient plants based on edible nutrition to total plant mass (including roots). Recognized by Andy Weir in his famous book/movie "The Martian," potatoes will have a place in future exploration of space. So I thought it good to get started now! I call this one "Spudnik!"

Absolutely not.
I don't want some weird space cancer.
>>
>>21943974
sure whatever
>>
Probably has solar radiation in it. Reminds me of when they brought different animals into space, and the offspring ended up developing all kinds of weird cancers.
>>
>>21944051
This.
Also just look at it!
It has a weird patch of white fuze. That ain't normal.
>>
>>21944059
Idk if you are joking... That is hook and loop so they can stick it to the wall lol.
They funny question is would you eat a wall potato?
>>
>>21944061
>hook and loop
Dude that's even worse. I'm not eating that.
>>
>>21944111
I agree. You should not eat that in particular.
>>
>>21944051
>Probably has solar radiation in it
thats not how radiation works
>>
>>21944051
you should probably retake highschool physics
>>
How is it fed? Like I know potatoes grow those thingies but they need water and nutrients to grow the leaves and then use that to get carbon out of the air to grow new ones
>>
>>21944562
He probably peepoos on it
>>
You mean it was grown in some warehouse? Wowee!
>>
>>21944831
disgusting. I'll only eat free range space potatoes
>>
Spotato do no care too hot. Spotato do no care too cold. Spotato no get much water? Please, it no need much water. Spotato get too much water? Is time for BIG spotato. Spotato do no have need of anything no even gravity. In space, scientist of russia have grow spotato. They eat the space spotato, it taste like ground spotato. Spotato survive anywhere. Spotato survive everywhere. Tomato is squishy, it get bruise from walk in crate to car of farm. Not spotato. Spotato no care if you deliver to supermarket with bat of the baseball. You hit onion? You now have squash onion. You hit spotato? Now you have many piece of spotato. Can eat raw. Can boil. Can fry. You can throw in fire and eat like bear, spotato? Still good. Cut up and use as stamp. With knife, chop to correct size, can use to fill hole in boat. You can turn spotato into vodka, for drink or maybe even use run car engine

Anything grown on earth is also grown in space because earth is in space bud.
>>
>>21944881
No it's not, 'tard. It's in the atmosphere so it's shielded from the cosmic rays.
All the mutations in Total Recall were caused by cosmic rays.
>>
>>21944905
>it's shielded from cosmic rays
That doesn't mean it's not in space, doofus. You've never looked into the "cosmic ray" exposure of people in space shuttles(which is where potatoes will spend 100% of their time) and whether it provides more or less or about the same level of protection, so you're just being a wimpy bitch boy about something you're too afraid to look up.
>>
>>21943974
>spudnik
CUTE
>>
>>21944911
Okay, for one thing, those astronauts are shielded by God.
God does not give such consideration for the potato, which was responsible for the explosion of Irish people in the 19th centure. It was such a displeasure to God that he created the potato famine.

Your school system has failed you.
