the Mediterranean way
>>
I would make this but I don’t have any bay leaves
>>
>rinse all the oil and flavor off
>just to add oil and seasoning
for what reason?
>>
>>21945444
that was white vinegar not oil
>>
>>21945435
you only need one bay leaf then you can just wash and reuse it as needed
>>
>>21945430
Anchovies cost three dollars and they are good on their own. They dont need twenty more dollars and an hour of autism
>>
>>21945450

You are the type of faggot who whines about things tasting "too fishy"
>>
>>21945430
lot of effort for a single meal. cant you just cook them guts and all then eat the little whole roasted fish?
>>
>>21945655

They start wearing out at the 10 year mark give or take. I cook on average 4 meals a week. And my mothers bayleaf, god rest her soul, has been serving us well since 2017.

She adds more oil back at the end.
>>
>>21945430
would if i could. we only have prepared tinned chovies here
>>
>>21945430
there's no need to completely submerge them in a ton of olive oil at the end.
Also, it's overly complicated for no reason.
>place the raw anchovies fillets on a dish, single layer
>add salt, pepper and aromatics (parsley, garlic, chili...)
>mix lemon juice and/or vinegar with olive oil in a bowl
>pour the marinade over the anchovies, so that every fillet is slightly covered (you can even use a brush to better spread the mixture)
>cover with saran wrap and keep it in the fridge for an hour or so
>eat
