They're always well-stocked with burgers, fries, onion rings, and chicken tendies at the hospital cafeteria. When's the last time you were at a cafeteria of any sort?
>>21946347>the hospital cafeteria.work in health care the past 25 years.one of the hospitals would make pizza slices that were overloaded with cheese, dough and meats. We could charge meals off to our payroll check, so after every shift I would pickup 4 slices to take home which was like an entire pizza and charge them to my account because I was so fucking broke at the time. It was like heaven, no lie
>>21946375ngl that pizza actually looks okay
>>21946375We have pizza but it's absolute dogshit.
>>21946375>work in health care the past 25 years.i have no idea what food costs must have been like at the places I worked, but it seemed the portions were always so nerfed. Another place I worked had a 'deli' where they made sandwiches to order. A sub sandwich was legitimately 12" and stocked full of meats and veggies. You could pile your plate and it would never be more than $6. This particular place had a killer seafood gumbo on Fridays.
>>21946454>Another place I worked had a 'deli' where they made sandwiches to order. We have that too, it's actually not bad. They had banana peppers and jalapeno peppers, and all kinds of dressings. And pretzel buns.
>>21946375>overloaded with cheese, dough and meats. The irony of this in a place where half of what goes on is keeping fatasses alive is incredible.
If I'm gonna pay out the ass for hospital food then I'd go to Loma Linda. I'm surprised that cafeteria doesn't have a Michelin star.
>>21946454>>21946462My mom worked as a nurse at a local hospital for years. When I was little before Subway was in our area, she would take me down to the cafeteria on the days they had sub sandwiches and buy me one. They were really tasty. At the beginning of this month I was hospitalized. The food from the hospital cafeteria is really good. Every meal I would order a big plate of fresh fruit (cantaloupe, grapes, pineapple, and apples) alongside of a container of blueberry yogurt. I dont like being in the hospital, but the food is so good and I eat so much better than when I cook at home for myself, that I dont mind.
>>21946347I just had a kid 2 weeks ago. Wife was at the hospital for like a week and we were at the hospital cafeteria a lot. The burgers were surprisingly good but the fries seemed to always be a little dried out by the time we got there.Patients at the hospital had access to this crazy menu though, she was able to customize a pasta dinner and order curry and stuff.
πkea, last summer
>>21946562>At the beginning of this month I was hospitalizedI hope you’re doing better now fren>>21946970Congrats! I hope the name your went with was “Whopper Jr” (jk)
>>21946347My company has a cafeteria and it's pretty good but it's also a huge campus that kind of traps you. I usually want to leave the grounds for lunch
>>21946347Grim
>>21946347Plenty of sweet carbs if that's how you roll for breakfast. Hehe roll. Get it?
>>21946347I work at a big industrial complex. They have 1 cafeteria and it's barely more palatable than a sodexo DFAC mess hall nightmare. It amazes me how lazy people are. Most of the people that eat there don't even have to leave their offices, they could easily spend 15 minutes making a delicious meatloaf or sandwiches or croquettes or something for the week and reheating it, but they choose to eat rubbery lukewarm frozen chicken tendies from under a heat lamp for a 10x upcharge.
>>21946347thats mostly frozen food reheated except for the burgers those are probably fresh orders from somewhere local

>>21946347>cafeteria of any sort? Some work trip prior to COVID. COVID killed both my travel AND any sort of food we had at work. Now it's food trucks. Corpo cafeterias are nice though a lot of the times. Better than fast food, though restaurant fair (non-chain) will mog it. But yeah, they all seem to have meh tier fried food for the autists in the crowd.
>>21946347>When's the last time you were at a cafeteria of any sort? Most days at work. It's decently priced and of decent quality. Can't complain.Last time I got three large potato fritters with a good side of shredded cabbage salad for 6 euros.A big bowl of stew goes for about the same.
>>21946375Nice man, gotta do what you gotta do.
We have an omelet station and you want to get there when Paul is working it because he's the best with the eggs, over-easy is perfect each time. Good sandwiches too.
>>21947723I’m gonna beat you up.
>>21946347>When's the last time you were at a cafeteria of any sort?College.
>>21951261waaaaay too much for breakfast. I'd be skipping lunch if I ate that.
