when I was twelve a family friend took us bluefin fishing on his boat off cape cod (it was practically the Orca, it was wonderful). He caught a giant 3' choona and they sliced it up right on deck and we dipped it in soy sauce and sesame oil and it was the most amazing fish I'd ever eaten. it was so fresh the fish oil was oozing out of the muscle right there on the platter. There was a gigantic cloud of seagulls attacking us though so he kept tossing the offcuts and guts into the water to try and keep them satiated.I learned years later that I could potentially spend the rest of my life with liverfluke because the fish could have had parasites.
