the most dishonest food item ever created
>>
What about it? It's just minced whitefish. Because they call it imitation crab? The name states it isn't real crab.
>>
>>21948416
Idk it's usually got some crab in it. In Canada they have to make sure it's labelled as imitation crab and not real crab, plus the price alone signifies the difference.

I think calling anything McDonald's sells "food" is actually more dishonest.

And don't forget doctors used to tell mothers a glass of 7Up! every day was good for their newborn baby's health. That's pretty fuckin dishonest.
>>
>>21948422
>it's just minced whitefish
most places I've seen it it's mostly filler with almost no protein and at low rent grocery store sushi counters they charge almost as much as actual fish for it.
>>
>>21948441
i've always wondered what goes through someone's head when they buy "sushi" from a discount grocery store or a gas station

it's the most insane game of russian roulette with your body, there's almost a guarantee it'll taste bad and you'll get sick
>>
>>21948442
I've never had a problem. Sometimes they even have half decent rolls for sale instead of the cream cheese and mayo loaded crap the goy crave. It's really not that bad, most strip mall sushi joints with "real" chefs will charge you twice as much for the same quality. Most cheap in store sushi is from semi-reputable franchised operations. The problem with being a strong white bvll is that you get 10x the nutrition for half the price and most of the enjoyment from the lunch counter.
>>
>>21948416
>most dishonest food item ever created
vegan food is the winner.
>>
>>21948478
i agree with that as far as those meat imitations go
on second place i might put those covid era cakes that look like they arent cakes

well, it is fish desu
>>
>>21948478
they say they're fake from the outset. how is that dishonest?
>>
>>21948416
Its just a fish cake, which is a common food in Asia. They really thought Americans wouldn't know what it is so they call it imitation crab.
>>21948442
If the grocery store has their own seafood counter, its definitely fine to eat. I would never get sushi from aldi or a gas station.
>>
>>21948416
for me, i like it, because i like tilapia fish, and its cheap and tastes good. good in stir fry

it seems like you're saying "ethnic indians are incapable of learning how to wash their hands"

No-one would be buying any of these things if their marketing didn't center around being plant based retard. Non of the products you posted are "going to great lengths" to hide anything, they're all plastered with "plant based". Their primary market is your picky teenage daughter or adult babies who are having an ethical phase but don't want a plate of fava beans, they need to both look traditionally palatable and clarify that they're plant based to sell. Also "Just" egg is woketard shit, ESLanon. It's just in the since of "environmental justice", not just as in "only"

Poor ones, anyone. Or uneducated ones. Anyone with money pays out the nose for overpriced "organic" and "pasture fed" with zero backing to the label claim. If you can't buy that, you're too poor to buy steak and you'll probably stick to ground meat or cheap cuts.

Where it's sourced from has zero bearing on how your body treats it, moron. Btw, the EU and UK both allow sunset yellow so you're double retarded.

Pesticides are obviously toxic at high doses but so is everything. There's mercury in the air you're breathing right now.
That these pesticides are detectable on produce at all despite their comically low concentration is a marvel of modern technology. You are simply uninformed.

>>21948416
so something labeled imitation crab meat is being dishonest?

"Normal food is le poison!" Is the marketing gimmick. The compounds naturally present in most vegetables are unironically more "toxic" than the barely detectable amount of glyphosate, or whatever other chemicals those shitty memes told you to be afraid of, that you'll find in the produce section.

when i lived in japan, some of the department stores my company had offices in/i'd get shipped out to had backrooms where all the staff from that building could get snacks, eat, use the bathroom. the fucking indian/nepali whatever guys that would inevitably have a curry shop in the mall would straight up never wash their hands. like some guy in a white chefs suit with a cartoonishly tall white chef hat power walking out of the john straight to the door after loudly shitting it up. i just straight up stopped eating at indian places after i realized it wasn't one guy, and was the case at multiple locations.

Imitation crab is definitely a scam. Rarely ever tastes like crab. The outside is dyed so it looks more complicated than what it actually is.
If they just sold minced white meat as bigger chucks I would buy that, but no one does it because you can make these fake crab sticks and sell them for a bigger profit.

The paste is white. The coloring is to add that bit of red on the outside. Saying it's "just" minced whitefish is incorrect because they use a bunch of rice starch as a binder/filler. But what you're saying is clinically false.
