non americans think these are the same item
>>

"Burgers" is a subset of "sandwiches"
>>
>>21951879
One is a ground up chicken patty and one is a whole chicken breast. They are completely different.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Fried Chicken Sandwich
>>
For anyone who's confused by this post, some places outside of America will refer to the bottom image as a "chicken burger" whereas Americans would refer to it as a "chicken sandwich". The joke being that while an American would call the top pic a chicken burger and the bottom a chicken sandwich, a Euro would call them both the same thing without differentiating them.

In the states, whether or not something is a "burger" is determined by the way the meat is prepared. If it's minced like ground turkey, ground beef or ground chicken (like the top image) then it's called a burger. If it's sliced (or in this case a breaded filet) then it's called a sandwich.

I'm not totally sure since I'm American, but I think whether or not something is called a burger or a sandwich elsewhere is determined by the bun.

Wtf even is that currency?
>>
>>21951957
Obviously some third world currency which reinforces the fact that calling it a chicken burger when the meat isn't ground is incorrect
>>
>>21951944
Yeah, that's a good example of what I mean. They get called burgers in other places. For the record I don't think either way is right or wrong it's just a cultural thing.
>>
>>21951879
only gaymericans (the gayest country in the world) think theyre different
>>

>foreigners can't tell the difference between ground meat and a filet
Pathetic.

Zinger?!
Fuck off with that shit.
We can't deal with a zinger, we cant even decide what a sandwich is
>>
>>
>>21951879
I'm American and I call it a hamburger sandwich to get a rise out of people, I never let the mask slip though so that's just what I call it all the time now.
I ate a hamburger sandwich today!

You can also call it the toilet room if it doesn't have a bath

Do hurgen durgens really?
>>
Only amerilards eat enough mcchicken burgers to grant a distinction. Ground chicken patties are largely considered grotesque in the civilised world.

burgers contain ground beef.
they may contain other meats, but they must contain a ground beef patty or it's not a burger.
thems the rules.
>>
>>21952429
you're thinking in reverse, anon.
only trannies post frogs.

For Americans, the "burger" is the Hamburg steak, which they put between two halves of a bun to make a Hamburg steak sandwich, or "burger", if you will.
This became famous globally, and the rest of the world, with no culture of Hamburg steaks, saw the "top half of a bun, salad/sauce, maybe cheese, meat, bottom half of the bun" as what you called it. A burger.

You have two options: you can either accept that language morphs and changes in unpredictable ways, and forms little tidepools based on what cutural practices people are exposed to, or you can admit that you're wrong and start speaking British English, with all the letter "u"s that it entails. Either language morphs to fit the use of those who speak it, or it doesn't. You can't have it both ways.
>>
Who cares?
>>
>>21952511
Americans, apparently. Try talking about burgers that aren't made of ground meat and they never shut up.
>>
>>21951939
americans elected trump so I wouldn't expect anything intelligent coming from there lol
>>
>>21951879
Different food item, same name
Burger bun = burger
Bread slices = sandwich
I know, I know, it's a little difficult for you Americans to understand, what with you all sharing the same four brain cells and all
But don't worry - we'll keep coming to these threads and helping you figure it out until you get it right ;)
>>
>>21951879
nobody cares.
>>
>>21952523
burgers are DEFINED by the ground meat goddammit it's not the bun whoever decided it's the bun is a fucking RETARD
>>
>>21952457
a ground beef analog is fine hence why we have chicken and turkey and even salmon burgers
>>
>>21951939
you’re getting too autistic about it. chances are slim that any given american would ever call anything a “chicken burger”. no matter the preparation or presentation of it. it’s just weird to us. like I’m thinking about an indian guy saying “chicken burger” right now and it’s filling me with rage.
>>
>>21954264
>>21954285
yeah this. "chicken burger" just isn't a thing here. call it whatever you want where you're from but we simply do not do it.
>>
>>
>>21954322
chicken burgers are rare at restaurants but people who want a lower fat/calorie option to cook at home do turkey burgers and sometimes chicken burgers.
