I can't fry anymore because I don't have a stove top in my apartment, nor a real kitchen. I just use an air fryer for all my veggies, meat, and bread. I know it's subhuman but I still love to cook and it's the best I can manage. But I miss frying!

Tbh i postedit as a kind of a joke. Youre better of getting one of these. Together with your air fryer you can now cook pretty much anything.

Bonus: If you have a outdoors deck in your apartment you can put the heater out there when frying shit so all the smoke and oil splatter doesn't stink the place up. I'd do this even if I had a full home with a real stove hood, it's just better to fry shit outside.

I picked up one of these pretty much for outdoor cooking and it's terrible. American outlets just can't deliver enough power for them to be usable. Should have just gotten a gas burner.
>>
>>21955098
I would suggest going for induction over that for safety.

I got kicked out of an apartment cooking on my balcony. I was drunk and stumbled into the grill and the hot oil pot spilled and fell onto the people below. the groundskeeper ran over and yelled at me in some foreign language and I was evicted. fuckers.

>don't have a stove top in my apartment
then why did you ever take it?
>>
>>21955925
this is the way

I use a standalone induction burner and a toaster oven/air fryer and I can cook 99% of things I would in a full kitchen. absolutely the way to go if you don't have a proper atove/oven for whatever reason.

This is the answer. I have a properly-sized deep fryer that can produce many servings of deep-fried foods but it gets use da lot less than one of these tiny mini-fryers if I just want one deep-fried element in a meal consisting of other things that aren't just all fried foods.

There's probably various Japanese cooking contraptions for small living spaces for just this. I just use a hobby painting hood and vent it out the window with a HEPA filter running next to it. To each their own.

nice, that's the combo I also arrived at in a flat without a built in oven or stove top. my portable stove cooking plate thingy is one of those cheap iron ones though and not a fany glass one, is there much of a difference between the two?

Just rub your meat in oil and turn your airfryer to the highest heat setting
>>

i did this my meat got enlarged

When I moved the stove is an awful old electric so I used the space for my coffee machine (removed the breaker so the stove doesn't turn on accidentally). Now I use the airfryer 99% of the time.
In winter I sometimes break out the ikea portable induction to do stews or corned beef. I did also use it for boiled eggs but I realised the air fryer can do that.

Yeah that too. It's nice not needing to go through half a jug of peanut oil for one meal and needing to guilt myself into filtering and reusing it to not feel like a sucker.

>I don't have a stove top in my apartment
What?
Even the few studio apartments in cities I've seen have a tiny kitchen area. What dumbass designer would make such a thing? Do they just expect the tenets to subsist off of takeout or do they have communal kitchens or something?
I'm even more confused that everyone else is acting like this is normal.
