Japan thinks it is its greatest invention. lets show it some love.post your favorite pack, what you do to dress it up, and even ramen recommendations for anons. ill startbuldak pink with a couple slices of american cheese, some lunch meat, some hardboiled eggs, and some seedweed is my favorite.shin red is a close second to me. same dressing.
>>21955932>sapporo ichiban - uncooked>dip tongue in flavor pack>take crunchy bite of fried noodles>mmm mm delicious>take small drink of water>remaining packet particles hydrate into broth inside your mouth
>>21955932Ramen is Chinese not Japanese and instant ramen was invented in Japan by a Taiwanese guy.
>>21955983how come china doesnt have any notable instant noodles
>>21955932I regularly import JP Nissin because I like them very much but these lil niggas are the best when you're hungover>cut whatever vegetables you currently have and will not upset your stomach>scour the fridge for leftover meats>get the kettle going>chop some piri piri>prepare noodles according to package>heat up pan, fry vegetables, chilis and meats>throw wet noodles in there too>copious amounts of cumin>add sauce packets>add scallops >transfer to a plate and add some sesame, salt and pepper to tastemhhhhhhhhhhhhh
>>21955932ate some samyang today for the first time in years. it was the cheese one.I still like them. I avoid them though because I have some stomach issues
>>21955932I've had the 2x spicy, the regular spicy, and the yakisoba, and they were bad every time. i hear people like carbonara but i just cant bring myself to try again. the noodles seem somewhat low quality and the sauce isnt even very tasty it's just comically spicy
>>21955997if you didn't like the others you won't like the carbonara either. they're pretty much just the OG ones with cream dumped in making them milder, creamier and sweeter
>>21956000>with cream dumped in making them milder, creamier and sweeteryeah, i can see how that might be an improvement.
>>21955932We have a place in my city that does true Hokkaido-style ramen and karaage and it's the fucking best. They're the only outpost of that restaurant outside Japan. They do a cold ramen in the summer and I can't wait for it this year
>>21956011carbonara and cheese are the best ones for my taste. but they all have that og dna
>>21956015would
>>21955932I'll see that and raise you this...
I will NEVER have instant noodles ever again. I had a 2x black one, used the whole sauce packet on it, for 3 FUCKING DAYS my shit had a tangerine color, I also had tummy uproars for a week, that shit nuked my gut, I am happy for those that can enjoy it but I quit these cold turkey, never again.
>>21955932My current favourite is the normal Buldak Spicy, but you add some peanut butter, soy sauce, garlic, and chili crisp.
>>21956035DUDE
>>21956087that experience is unique to samyang and 99% of instant noodles will never do that to you. just get some nice mi goreng
>>21956106Sorry but no, today I was this close to getting myself a can of cheese 'n chicken Oyakata but dropped it before the checkout and got myself a kentucky crispy wrap instead
for me its oriental flavor
I really like these and I can only ever find them at HomeGoods.
>>21956106was raised on this stuff. a good portion of my cells is probably made out of indomie
Didnt think id get laksa instant noodles at my local asian super markets but im very happy i do.
>>21956511gotta chop up real orientals for the best flavor tho
>>21956099>but you add some peanut butter, soy sauce, garlic, and chili crispThat's a basic ramen soup base by itself broYou can add it to plain noodles and they'll be greatBuldak has enough spice and salt as it is, you're just overloading it
>>21955932I see people making threads on this specific brand occasionally on the board and a lot of people complain about the heat but I just had a 2x spicy one with 0 spice tolerance and it was just right. >>21956087I had the red one IDK if the black ones is supposed to be way more spicy or something. Literally having a green and red chili pepper raw would give me more of a heat overload than having 2x Buldak desu yo ne Also why don't you just stick with like indomie or something, most brands have 0 spice.>>21956099I like adding some garlic 2 soft boiled eggs green onions and some canned fish. sauerkraut also works surprisingly well with instant ramen.
>>21957014I think I've developed a trauma after that, I used to eat TONS of Nissin blue cans before but now I get the chills just when I see them
I like to mix in some curry, like Misato does in Evangelion.
>>21956725This ramen is so plentiful in any Asian grocery store. I tried this recently too, pretty good.
>>21957225I have some Asian market near me but I honestly keep forgetting it's there, I should really go sometime.
>>21955972>take small drink of water>remaining packet particles hydrate into broth inside your mouthIf it’s hot water then I’m thinking very based>>21955990All of my loveAll of my kissin>I regularly import JP NissinI should try this, the US made nissin is so bleh now
>>21955932I like spicy but these just miss the mark. If you put the oil on your tongue, it tastes like a chemical burn. The "cheese" is more like some kind of protein dust flavored with a few barely Italian herbs. When you mix it and eat it, it basically tastes like a parsley and basil flavored pepper spray. A wholly unserious food for people who don't like flavor. There's a Japanese knockoff version that has worse noodles, but way better flavor and a spice that builds up over time in your mouth instead of giving you an assault and battery.
>>21955989Kong Shi Fu a BEST
>>21955932>Japan thinks it is its greatest inventionThat would be the Tacoma
>>21956087>had the spiciest instant noodles that got famous because of Tiktok challangers>noooooo it's too hot and upset my stomachbuy literally anything else
>>21955932>poor people for decadesBuldak is overpriced and overspiced for the sake of spicy memes.
>>21955983>instant ramen was invented in Japan by a Taiwanese guy.Nissan cup noodles is taiwaneses?
>>21958049>import JP Nissincurry is still good. don't know about the rest.
>>21956112>getting myself a can of cheese 'n chicken Oyakata but dropped it before the checkout and got myself a kentucky crispy wrap insteadI have no idea what any of this means, I'm just glad I'm not you.
>>21956106Indomie is great, I tried it for the first time last month. All of the other flavors are worse than the original. >>21956725I have never seen that brand but there's a different brand that does kimchi noodles that I like. It's pretty good.
>>21959969Fuck off retard.
is Mama any good? they're one of the few brands i can easily get in my area
mama
>>21960108the tom yum flavor is like crack
>>21960116that is all i needed to hear
>>21955932FYI if it's Korean it's ramyunThey only call it ramen cuz wh*toids can't arse themselves to get educated
>>21960369don't you realize that koreans calling it ramyun is the same as white people and japs calling it ramen, you little bitch?
>>21960426You've been educated. It's up to you on how you utilize it.
>>21956087>I will NEVER have instant noodles ever again. I had a 2x black one, used the whole sauce packet on it, for 3 FUCKING DAYS my shit had a tangerine color, I also had tummy uproars for a week, that shit nuked my gut, I am happy for those that can enjoy it but I quit these cold turkey, never again.is this you?
My favourite i boil it down to make the soup a sauce, and add mini dimsims, something non Australians can't enjoy
A little egg, even scrambled, goes a long way toward making instant ramen more like a meal.
>>21961263Eating instant ramen out of an actual bowl with actual silverware just seems wrong.
>>21955932Only retards eat these 50 different E filled "ramens". And pedophile weebs ofc
>>21961315>silverware*flatware
>>21961328You have no idea from looking at the picture.
>>21961332I know which board I’m posting on, son.
>>21961325What do you mean by the quotation marks? Are you saying real ramen ISN'T filled with soy and eaten by pedophiles?
>>21961325wut
>>21958496I'm sorry that you're a little girl
>>21955932Here’s the Korean approved buldak:>the spiciest 2x. red buldak ramen, forgot the name>do not discard any of the broth, reduce broth if possible to concentrate spice>spicy pepperoni sticks>spicy kimchiHere’s another, much more mild version closer to restaurant ramen:>sapporo ramen, pork flavoured>sliced fried pork belly>store-bought pork broth mixed with the ramen broth>scallions>chilli oil>soy sauce to taste
>>21963129>koreans are mongrels with bad tastethanks but i didnt really need the reminder
>>21963137That stuff isn’t bad taste, it’s numbing and you’ll feel nothing in your mouth when eating after a few forks of noodle other than kimchi, savoury noodle and salty sausage. Your stomach on the other hand…you will feel the churning and heat burning inside. And yes, I speak from personal experience.
>>21963145my stomach is fine from itmy butthole on the other hand
>>21963153I know man, I know
>>21963129It's missing 5 tablespoons of ketchup and 10 slices of american cheese to be korean approved
I tried this meme korean method of turning instant ramen/ramyun into a saucy spicy pasta and it's pretty damn good.
>>21955932I like shin ramyun Black pack is probably my favorite. Mix minced garlic, kewpie mayo, and egg yolk. Temper the mixture with a little of the hot broth and then add back to the pot. Garnish with some green onion. Kimchi ramen is wonderful just add more fresh kimchi. Gold pack is good too. Ttake a pinch of white pepper and combine with beaten egg. Right as soup is done drop the egg into the pot to make ribbons. Just like if you were making egg drop soup. The k-army packs are absolutely amazing but they don’t sell it at my local slopmart anymore.I like to make peanut noodle ramen with the cheaper shin packs. Just add some peanut butter, drop of sesame oil, and green onions to garnish
>>21961227Are you boiling it down with the noodles in there, or adding the sauce and whatever you want like veggies etc and adding noodles at the end? I just had a pretty decent ramen for the first time in years a couple nights ago. But cooked it as per packaging (400ml of waterish) adding 2 eggs using the drip method about a minute before finish. It was still too much water for my liking. I guess I can just use less water, but If I feel like adding vegetables I guess I can use normal amount with sauce packet, let it boil down then eggs/noodles?
>>21963191Kek, forgot about that. I sometimes added sharp aged hard cheddar to the monstrous red seething bowl, but I should try it with ketchup and american cheese sometime.
