>>
>>21957952
You'll get socialism probably
>>
>>21957960
Those ones don't suck the liquids out of the package, so you can vac seal bags filled with liquid.
>>
>>21957969

They both suck, it's literally how the contraption works.
>>
>>21957977
Ok my fault that went right over my head lol
>>
>>21957969
they suck both
>>
>>21957952
What are those, Steak-Ums?
>>
>>21957960
less risk of liquid fucking up the pump
can use cheaper bags (non-embossed) or mylar
usually have stronger pumps that don't overheat as easily
>>
It's good for archiving food but unfortunately the bags are plastic.
>>
>>21958209
As opposed to what, explain how you'd sous vide without polymers
>>
>>21958755
A glass jar
>>
>>21958755

sous vide is gay as fuck who cares
>>
>>21958097
>liquid fucking up the pump
I've never had that occur in 25 years with Seal-a-Meal due to the way it handles suction.
>overheating
I don't know how many bags in a row you've sealed but I suppose it's possible. If you're sealing really huge cuts of meat I'd definitely use the industrial looking thing but for most people, the SaM you can find at Walmart or Target or Kohl's should be fine.

Probably the most used appliance in my kitchen.

The piece of shit I got from Aldi broke within a year and I barely used it. I got some meme containers too but they don't hold the vacuum very long.
>>
>>21957960
i think this one works with all sorts of bags while the other one can only suck the air out of the sous vide bags with the coarse surface

>>
>>21957952
Nah it's great for freezing stuff like meats. Had some ribeyes the other week that were in my freezer for over a year and they were perfect.
>>
>>21960180
its something you cant do without if you freeze pork and beef they ll get frostburnt within 4 months even if they are inside their original airtight container
>>
>>21960189
Christmas and easter are basically the only times you can get rib roast for $7-8/lb so I always stock up when I can.
>>
>>21960193
same its also the only time they have certain cuts like a singular lamb thigh

>>
>>21960292
this is called masculine washing, aimed towards making stupid insecure men, or nerds, overpay for something that appears cool, dyson and ryobi have been doing this for years
>>

There is no reason for these things to be so clunky, the pump is small and there's nothing else in them aside from a small board and a heating wire. Why is the Lidl one so large, yet it has no built-in cutter?? Also has only one wire despite the width. If anything it's more masculine washing, large machine = MANLY
>>
>>21960370
this is like an old school cadillac, the aldi one is a cyber truck for elon thiel type neumasculinity
>>
>>21960349
this is a vacuum sealer thread not a sous vide thread, sorry for the confusion
>>
I've had a FoodSaver for over 8 years, and I use it regularly to freeze chicken pieces from whole chickens I separated. I just opened up a few bags of backs this morning to make stock. Three minutes until it's done brewin.

>>
>>21957952
vacuum sealers are pretty nifty but the bags are expensive
>>
>>21960733
you can use regular ziplocks
>>
>>21957952
Learn the definition of 'meme' before ever posting such horseshit again.
