What's a good replacement for white wine when a recipe calls for it? I can't be arsed to go to the liquor store for cheap wine just because fucking walmart refuses to carry it

None, cooking wine is vile. I don't like drinking wine but I like using it in cooking.

verjuice and some sugargrapefruit juice with white grape juice or apple juice
I keep meaning to pick up a bag of cheap ass white wine for this kind of thing but I never do, instead I always dump $5-10 worth of good wine in a sauce pan
