I dont even drink tea or coffee but it feels to me that how good your cuppa is depends 90% on thing you have no control over ie the tea and the water.
Everything elsr eg the kettle, how hot the wster is, how long to steep etc is just autistic fluff.

If you think how long you steep is autistic fluff, then you are correct that you don't drink tea. Now there is of course leeway but letting a cup steep too long and too hot is gonna be more bitter than your father's disappointment at his son's non functioning penis.
