Just fucking drink it in quantities larger than a shot you absolute retard
>>

I don't want to get plastered immediately in my home with no company that just seems kind of pathetic
>>
>>21963949
soda is such a shit mixer. it instantly kills all the carbonation

More 7 and 7s for me than.
>>

Add liquor to the glass first, then pour in the soda slowly, and then give it a few gentle stirs only. This keeps the carbonation intact in plenty of drinks, highballs, gin and tonic, etc.

Blackberry Crown...
7&7 would be good. It might make a decent boulevardier or similar (campari/aperol/amaro and vermouth... I'm thinking aperol and a kina if you can find it). Probably a kickass Julep (lots of mint, lots of ice, lime, carbonated water) with minimal simple syrup addition.

I always found this reasoning retarded. Alcohol is a drug. Getting shit faced at a bar with your friends every day isn't any less pathetic than getting shit faced and cooking at home or something. People do most drugs alone but everything thinks alcohol has to be done as a group.

The social aspect leads to a more enjoyable and less "I need this to function" outlook on the addiction.
The only thing sadder than an inability to rawdog life when necessary is the pervasive addict idea that taking those buffers in secret keeps the rest of the world from knowing that you're fucked 24/7.

The romanticisms and rituals can keep recreational substance use from becoming medication and abuse.
>>
>>21964076
how is drinking every day with your friends not abuse? is smoking weed alone pathetic? if I smoke meth with my friends every day is it pathetic?

In the past people went to a bar to hide being an alcoholic from their families and now going out is magically the righteous way to drink their drugs?
>>
>>21964078
You're the one talking about doing this every day. I might, but I don't have time.
It's less pathetic to have company than it is to be doing any of this alone in the dark. It's less pathetic to take a substance to get into a headspace than to take it to avoid the pain or torpor of reality. It is definitely less pathetic to take a substance with other people who are also using similar substances than to sit there doing it in front of your sober wife, and (hopefully sober) child. It's less pathetic to teetotal in relative silence than to pop into the internet's opium den crying temperance.
It's all degrees - shades of grey - and there's definitely some causality involved, but also a decent amount of counterintuitive flow, and of plain coincidence.

Yeah, time travel's not an exact science with those clowns.
Wait, you don't know about that yet. Get back to your evangelism before people start asking questions.

I'm just gonna live my life with a healthy dose of fear, not obsessing over how many years I can exist. If I want to relax and drink a pint of whiskey and lay in the grass and smell the bloom in the air next to the river and listen to the birds and not be distracted by conversation, I'm gonna do it. I'm sorry you don't know how great of a moment in time that is after winter living next to the equator.

Is that what you've been doing with shit? Are you out of your tiny little mind?

... Yes. "Winter"...
It was nice seeing snow again after a few years in Singapore, but after months of shovelling it, I'm ready to go back.

Shit thread but just put a shot or two into a glass of seltzer and add lemon juice to taste, serve with ice. It stretches the drinking time, the lemon complements the whiskey, and you've got a refreshing summer beverage.
If you have a Costco near you, their Kirkland Signature Canadian Whiskey is made in the same Seagrams plant as Crown, tastes indistinguishable from it to tastelets like us who like Crown in the first place, and costs about $20 for a half-gallon. In some states, Costco isn't allowed to require a membership to use their pharmacy and liquor store. Can't help you with the fruit flavoring though.

All you need with whiskey is a nice fruit juice and a splash of lime. Grapefruit is a favorite.
>>
>>21963943
enjoying flavored liquor is a sign of autism. you could also just be a woman, but i doubt it.
>>
>>21963949
I tried this because a buddy told me about OP's picrel. It was great. I tried Sprite, 7up, and Starry. All 3 were good.
>>
>>21965630
I can help with the fruit flavouring.
Pint of blueberries (12 oz?), 2.5 cups sugar, 1 cup water. Blend, boil for 5 mins, strain into suitable bottle. Should be shelf stable, but add a squeeze of lemon if you'd like to bring the pH down.
Use a half shot or so (or full if you've got a real sweet tooth) to a double of liquor.

Alternately, macerate berries with a fistful of sugar and a pinch of salt and infuse in liquor (the whiskey you plan on drinking, or a neutral spirit) to make a tincture. Or find a happy medium for a liqueur.

I've seen blackberry dr pepper, that'd probably go well with it.
