Just scored one of these for free off fb marketplace. Went to pick up a lamp for 5 bucks, the lady gave this to me as well. Looked it up, these go 200 brand new...wtf!? Anyone used one of these before? think it'll save me money as opposed to using a conventional oven? pros / cons?

>save money
in what way? are you really counting the pennies from oven power usage?
>pros
heats up quicker than an oven. if you dont have a convection oven then this will be your convection oven. it crisps things up very nicely. good for fried stuff/frozen fried stuff/reheating fried stuff and pizza
>cons
takes up counter space, can't fit a whole turkey in it.

it's a little oven. use it how you will.

Lower electricity use, so probably.
One advantage is that it won't heat up your house as much in the summer.

As other anons have said they are very energy efficient compared to an oven, they heat up super quick and they don't make your house hot. Also they make food crispy which is nice.

This is what us oldfags used before airfryers. You can do anything in them that you could in an oven...as long as it fits

Not op but I am. I live alone so it just seems like a waste to use an entire oven for a single baked potato.

They're really useful. Good for breads in particular. Solid for reheating pizza, fried meats, fries, pastries, and so on (better than microwave since they'll keep crispy and won't be soggy). Just a lot of uses, and convenient since they're typically not too huge and you can toast something up faster than a fullsize oven. All without warming the room needlessly or using as much energy either.

It's literally an air fryer, read the label on the dial on the right side, it literally says "air fry".
