Serious question. My intestines were functioning more or less normally last year. I could actually take a dump without ripping my asshole apart. Sure, it was messy, but that's what showers are for.I got really into eating white cheddar flavored popcorn for a while. IDK if it's a seasonal thing or what, but now I can't find it in any of the local grocery stores (except in tiny individual-serving packs that cost $$$$$$$$$$$$). Since stopping eating that stuff, my shit is ROCK HARD. It's a strain forcing it out, it often comes out as "pellets" that are agglomerated into enormous masses such that the shape is nowhere even close to cylindrical and literally tears my asshole as it gets forced out.Last night I happened to find a big bag of white cheddar popcorn stuffed behind some other stuff in my pantry. I had a couple of cups of it. Today my shit is silk smooth and came out easily even though it was massive.I'm quite sure that tomorrow it will be back to rock hard and nearly impossible to force out. It appears that I am now addicted to white cheddar popcorn and that the lack of it leads to long term intestinal problems. Is there something I can do about this, other than stockpiling white cheddar popcorn whenever it becomes available?Picrelated is literally the shit.
>>21965970What are you normally eating? Do you take any supplements?
>>21965970Just to add, "eat your vegetables" hasn't worked. Chowing down on broccoli, cauliflower, squash, and anything else does absolutely nothing for me.
>>21965981I have a pretty varied diet. One of my favorites is turkey drumsticks with a side of broccoli or cauliflower in cheese sauce. I'll do a bunch of air fryer chicken wings and throw them on top of a bowl of brussels sprouts in butter sauce. Quesadillas with a bunch of tomato on them. Omelet with mushrooms and cheddar. Costco pizza whenever I don't feel like cooking.
>>21965970>How do I get my intestines to function normally again?butter.start cooking in butter.
>>21965988It sounds like you're eating a lot of cheese which could contribute to constipation. I know it's cheddar popcorn but the actual amount of cheese on it is pretty low. Have you tried eating less cheese and maybe having more yogurt or milk if you still want dairy instead?
Drink more water, stay hydrated and eat a bowl of fiber cereal or some type of fiber regularly.
>>21965997He is claiming the white cheddar popcorn actually helps him poop
>>21966005I know, I'm saying that if OP keeps eating a lot of cheese and butter but then eating something whole grain with a relatively low amount by comparison helps, it could just be too much cheese and butter in the other food causing constipation. Cheese is dense, low in moisture, and high in fat, all of which slow digestion. And the casein protein which is the main protein in cheese is also one of the slowest digesting proteins. At least for me personally I notice having less issues like that when I drink milk instead of eating a lot of cheese.
>>21965994I already do.>>21965997>too much cheeseI understand where you're coming from on that but it wasn't a problem last year until I started eating popcorn. In fact I've cut back trying to get things to go back to normal but that hasn't helped. It's literally "ate popcorn, stopped eating popcorn, suddenly start shitting bricks, eat popcorn again, things go back to normal, stop eating popcorn, start shitting bricks, find a bag of remaining popcorn and eat some, things go back to normal."There have been a few interruptions in the popcorn supply along the way and they've always resulted in shitting bricks, but now the white cheddar popcorn seems to be gone for months (Costco quit carrying it, Wal-Mart doesn't have it in stock, local grocery stores aren't carrying it except in tiny snack-pack bags).I mean, I could buy the snack-pack sized bags, but holy fuck are those things expensive in comparison to the big 40oz Costco bags. We're talking $6.79 at Costco vs. probably $20 for the same product weight in snack-sized bags. And what I don't get is, this stuff has no cause to be seasonal, so where did the big bags disappear to? Costco pulled the same trick a couple of years ago, dropping it from their stock items for probably eight months or so.
are you taking any protein powder, vitamins, minerals, or supplements?
>>21966029Have you tried eating any other whole grain products to see if it helps the same? Regular popcorn?I remember this popcorn used to be more popular but I'm not really sure if it is anymore which could explain supply changes.
>>21965970Get kefir grains and raw milk and make kefir.
>>21965970you know what regulared me out after a bad diet? cheddar popcorn. yeah you heard me.nah just kidding but you know what actually helped? chia seeds and flax seeds.I was on a kick of only eating barshaped foods so I was just eating pure chocolate bars and energy bars. that made my poop super dense and ineffective. But with seeds.. that let's you put it in all kinds of granola bars and heath bars.I don't think I could of ever quit without them
take soluble fiber and drink water
>>21966051just kidding it was just cheddar popcorn that fixed me eat a ton of that OP and if your shit turns greasy & orange it means all the bad stuff is getting out and you'll feel great in no time
>>21966042I take a vitamin every few days if I remember.>>21966051So, Metamucil? I don't really want to have to go on some sort of laxative, even if it is a "natural product" rather than some carcinogenic chemical.
>>21966051I mix flax and chia seeds into smoothies but I always warn people, you have to make sure to drink lots of water...or else you will be in an even worse situation as far as hard turds
>>21966064kek (because I forgot to add "kek" in my previous reply to your other post, which I also kekked to)
>>21966065>I take a vitamin every few days if I remember.Does it have iron?
What's your iodine intake like? Are you an egg, dairy, iodized salt use? Could be a struggling thyroid, that causes constipation. Cheesey salty popcorn could be an extra iodine dose that helps
>>21966071[looks at bottle] nope, in fact the label literally reads "Iron 0mg">>21966072eggs a couple of times a week typically, dairy lots of cheese almost daily, iodized salt just what's in whatever I eat that's semi-pre-prepared (I don't add any). Thyroid is kinda normal.
>>21966078please continue to ignore the helpful posts and only respond to schizo nonsense. never change co/ck/sucking retards
>>21966079Fuck you, it's not nonsense. Hypothyroid causes constipation, iodine can help. There's a growing number of people switching away from iodized salt because retard schizos online.
>>21966072It's possible but OP said they eat eggs and dairy. And multivitamins usually have iodine as well which OP also takes albeit infrequently.
>>21965970There is such a thing as too much fiber. It can literally make your shit rock hard and hard to pass. Try eating some yogurt, greek, no sugar added. low fat. That will get your gut microbes back in check.Buy some kashi cereal, and eat like half a bowl a night. You should be pooping like a champ. Can literally eat anything else. Just careful on too much fiber.
>>21966079Which ones are helpful and which ones are nonsense? I'm reading all of them. I'm answering the ones that asked questions.

Digestive enzymes helped me. You can buy them as supplements or eat the following fruits which are high in enzymes:Fresh pineapplePapayaKiwi FruitFigsThey have to be fresh though, canned or dried don't work. Getting the tablets is probably cheaper.

>>21965970Go keto. You have some kind of parasitic overgrowth in your gut feeding on popcon. Going keto will starve and cleanse this.
A couple tablespoons dissolved in water a day and you'll be squeezing out baby arms in no time.
>>21965970Have you tried eating dates before? They seem to help keep my stuff from getting too hard. Also I did a little investigating, if you’re near a Sam’s Club check their website to see if that location has Smart Puffs in stock. Seems like at least some locations have it. If you don’t have a membership you may be able to get one online through another site at a discount for new members.
>>21966483Oops not Smartpuffs, meant Smartfood
>>21966462this is magicyou can get capsules for an easy measured dose, but it absolutely works as a shit regulatorI'll pop 2g of it whenever I go extra spicy with a meal and it completely nullifies any effects

what about just eating regular corn?
OP back, finally woke up again.>>21966356I'm already doing keto.>>21966483I haven't had a date in, uh, I guess at least 15 years. ;_; I don't know what eating pussy has to do with anything tho.>>21966485Kewl, will check out Sam's.>>21966717Ugh. I should note that I am a diabetic so I mostly avoid starches. Popcorn is mostly air so it doesn't count, you can eat half a bag and only do 10g of carbs.
>>21966930well eat the same number of boiled corns as you would've eaten in popped form it should be the same. my point is the corn whether popped or boiled has fiber
>>21965970>Last night I happened to find a big bag of white cheddar popcorn stuffed behind some other stuff in my pantry. I had a couple of cups of it. Today my shit is silk smooth and came out easily even though it was massive.coincidence it would take longer for that to do anything,c and there is not enough fiber in popcorn to do anything.
>>21965970yes it is a real product
popcorn only has about 1.15g of fiber per cup, not nearly enough to matter.
lots of watertry kefireat 1 banana a daylook up constipation exercises, it's simple stuff
>>21966930>Popcorn is mostly airThere's zero difference between a single popcorn and a dehydrated corn kernel, nutritionally speaking. Theyre both mainly starch. The only difference I guess you could make is that eating a corn ear's worth of popcorn would be harder than eating the cob.
>>21965970fibre retard
>>21966969>POOPWho would ever buy this
>>21966930>ketoso its as simple as you dont eat any fibre and the popcorn has fibrefucking retard
>>21966930Popcorn is not keto.
>>21965984This. Op need a bowl of oatmeal per day until he learns to drink more water and consume more fiber.
>>21965970What you're describing is a Type 2 on the Bristol Stool Chart. Ideally, you and to be a 3 or 4. There's a number of things that could cause constipation like this including a lack of fiber, dehydration, IBS, stress, lack of physical activity, etc. If eating popcorn solved it, it might be a fiber issue. I'd also make and effort to increase water intake if I were you. Your gut bacteria could also be off. Probiotics can help with this, or consuming a daily amount of something like sauerkraut or kefir that has probiotics in it can also help. I started eating a forkful of sauerkraut everyday because of the benefits to your gut microbiome as well as the extra fiber and it brought me from a Type 6 to a 5 easily.
>>21966713lol>>21966930>Ugh. I should note that I am a diabetic so I mostly avoid starches. Popcorn is mostly air so it doesn't count, you can eat half a bag and only do 10g of carbs.try eating berries? they're low carb. maybe you need more soluble fiber since otherwise low carb vegetables are mostly insoluble. eating a lot of fat and insoluble fiber could cause constipation. corn has a lot of insoluble fiber but the starch could be acting more like soluble fiber.
>>21965970>lactaid >gall bladder support (Tudca, Bile Salts)Undigested fats for lack of bile. Have more acidic sauces/foods whatever, and prime a half hour before meals with citrus, or a spoon of apple cider vinegar (had the same isuues on chemotherapy). Avoid glutinous grains at the same time, can't hurt.Secondarily: popcorn itself lends itself to loose shits, but the hydrogenated oils in the ingredients specifically give you swamp ass (among other undesirable metabolic downsides).
>>21967216>I should note that I am a diabetic>try eating sugar?Moron.
Step 1: Stop being morbidly obeseStep 2: Start eating fruits and vegetablesStep 3: Start eating high fiber foods (broccoli, oatmeal, lentils, etc)
>>21967596Not that anon but:https://www.health.harvard.edu/diseases-and-conditions/blood-sugarfriendly-fruits-if-you-have-diabetes>Fruit absolutely can be part of a balanced diet for someone with diabetes. A systematic review and meta-analysis of observational studies published in Nutrition Reviews found that people with diabetes who ate more fruit were less likely to die from cardiovascular disease and all other causes. (Observational studies cannot prove cause and effect.) Still, moderation is key, and people with diabetes should pay attention to how much fruit they're eating. "I tell patients it is possible to eat too much fruit at one sitting," says Oliveira. She advises patients to have up to three servings of whole fruit a day, but to space them out throughout the day.OP's problem is that he's a morbidly obese fat ass that thinks eating an entire cake and a few strawberries are the same fucking thing. Stop being a useless fat sack of shit and his type 2 diabetes will go into remission.
>>21965970Take psyllium fiber daily.Drink plenty of water. This is vital - if you don't do this the fiber will make the constipation worse.Just doing these two things will lead to your shits being daily and soft most of the time.Take polyethylene glycol instead of psyllium fiber for one day if your poop gets hard again, then go back to the fiber the next day. This will successfully reset you. Take PEG for two days and you will get serious mud butt that requires like 10-20 wipes to fully clean. Not fun.
>>21967201For me its three
>>21967655There's a company here that sells orange-flavored PEG in a container that's damn near identical to the orange-flavored fiber The grocery store even stocks them side-by-side, I bought it because it was cheaper]I took some every day thinking it was fiber, then starting to have to poop ever 15-30 minutesI took that shit for a month straight until I figured it out, I thought I had cancer or something
>>21967596Berries are low in sugar. Most are like 5g sugar/100g. OP is already eating popcorn.
>>21967680
>>21966965>it would take longer for that to do anythingI thought the same but is it possible something about the popcorn is causing greater intestinal mucus secretion to help grease his crease release?
