Had to try these in Romania because there were no other options. There's a technicality to it which I get, but most people who like them won't even know what they're looking for or supposed to be getting out of the flavour. They just know smash = good. I don't get it. I've seen smash burgers even as a kid sometime in the 00s before people with a double digit IQ started selling partially raw, inch-thick meat slabs and called them "burgers". The worst fads by far are
