Is this the 2020's version of the low-fat craze? This is getting out of hand. What's next, protein toothpaste?
I think this is how they're preparing the middle and lower classes for getting priced out of meat>why would I need meat? my ranch has protein in it!
>>21968046lol that it's also 30 cents more expensive than "regular Ranch"
>>21968077what makes you think they want a middle and/or a lower class?that's what the clankers are for.
>>21968077Good call
>>21968077I think they're trying to tap into the macho keto-bro market looking for "sick protein gains."
>>21968046You didn't see the writing on the wall with the proliferation of protein restaurants since the turn of the century?>choose your base>choose your protein>choose your sideI believe 'twas Chipolte started all that nonsense.
>>21968178>I don't seek out goyslopHence, this thread?
>>21968178>In fact I actively eschew itand then you actively eswallow it?
I can't understand why people that don't lift would care about muh protein. Also, the difference in protein vs the normal version compared to the price difference is just laughable.
>>21968046I've got your protein toothpaste, Dr. Hotman...
>>21968218Da governmint said I need protein!

theyre trying to hack glp1
>>21968046>>21968309people on glp1 often cant eat real protein foods because it upsets their tummy. so they have to supplement it through sauces or drinks.
>>21968046Americans are really dumb so they can be tricked into consooming another 1,000 calories of sugar and fat if the bottle has "protein" written on it. >>21968309>>21968431It must work in tandem. The protein slop makers keep Americans fat which helps big pharma by keeping them on their injections longer. Because of course Americans need to inject endocrine disruptors instead of simply not eating garbage 24/7>>21968218Everyone remotely conscious of their health should care about muh protein. But shit like protein doritos or protein pepsi aren't part of healthy eating. These are just more dumb products for dumb people.
>>21968046Give me a few minutes and I can whip up a batch of protein ranch.
>>21968046It all tastes like shitty pea flour to
>>21968046Wow 3 whole grammes ?!Pretty sure ranch is a buttermilk/yoghurt based thing anyway (or has powdered skimmed milk in slop versions) so should have at least that much protein by default
>>21968218The average person (especially if following "official" guidelines up until recently) is appallingly protein deficient, you need at least 70g not to just fucking wither away, but many have reversed it and are now trying to shovel 200g in where it's simply not used or neededThe average fully grown (i.e greater than 80kg lean) man should need about 100g ideally if he's just "existing", but if you can get easy protein it doesn't hurt for that not to be the rate limiting step by way of saturation, if you want to encourage muscle growth (a lot of people forget that protein still has calories though)
>>21969488>buttermilk/yoghurt based thing anywayIt's almost entirely canola oil, zero milk these days.
>>21968046I'd give the 'teen ranch a try
If you're actually trying to meet protein goals you're likely doing it through fairly tried and true foods>Chicken>Beef>Turkey>Greek Yogurt>Whole Dairy>EggsI lost 20 pounds from last year going down to a low calorie high protein diet and started lifting 6 times a week. The caveat is if you are not strength training you do not need to be consuming crazy amounts of protein.
>>21968487I make my ranch using greek yogurt instead of buttermilk and it actually tastes better to me.
>>21968046>What's next, protein toothpaste?Considering we had diet water at some point, it's not out of the question.
>>21968046Advertisers figured out that slapping "protein" or "keto" on a product will make idiots buy it and think it's healthy, or some shit.
If people treated fiber like they treat protein we wouldn’t have an epidemic of colorectal cancer.
>>21969693The "Keto Friendly" labels made me reasonably angry.
>>21968046>company notices their product happens to naturally contain a lot of protein due to its ingredients>advertises it on their label because people are wanting that specificallyThis is like rice products advertising themselves as gluten free. Reminds people who know and teaches idiots who don't for no cost.
>>21969599Looking up diet water immediately led me to a completely AI generated website.
>>21970134>He's too poor to afford Water WaterFigures
>>21968077Absolutely this. And watch what the "protein" is supplied by (it has more than four legs)
>>21970156>(it has more than four legs)
